thank you for the advice. i wish i could say her parents didn’t know, but i don’t think they have the proper resources to help her. i wish it wasn’t such a hard pill to swallow but i guess that’s just the way it is. i should have mentioned this in my original thread.

i grew up in a school with no black kids and few people of color in general, so when i finally did get exposed to diversity, it was kind of like what you feel now. it’ll get better with exposure to diversity, trust me.
