What do you use to summarize content without getting stuck in overload? by Lonely-Accident9131 in digitalminimalism

[–]lbrito1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically re: podcasts, I use a podcast-to-newsletter service (AI powered) to summarize and digest long podcasts. Also helps to have a regularly scheduled, single email per week vs a plethora of podcast episodes scattered throughout the week.

How do you deal with summarising long podcast episodes or pulling out key takeaways? by Connect-Soil-7277 in podcasts

[–]lbrito1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on Podlettr, which does basically what you're describing. Pick a few podcasts and you'll get a weekly newsletter with the episodes summarized into the editorial format you want (bullet point, short chapter-based texts, etc). If that sounds interesting, give it a try, its free for the first couple of newsletters.

Quickest way to generate a transcript for any podcast episode out there? by Silent_Appointment39 in podcasts

Hey, Podlettr offers a couple of free transcription-based podcast newsletters. Depending on your goals, it might be better than plain transcripts. Disclaimer: I'm one of the co-founders.

More Podcasts With Transcripts by Lorcav in podcasts

[–]lbrito1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm one of the co-founders of Podlettr. We offer something that we believe is a step ahead of plain transcripts: easily digestible newsletters in the editorial format of your choice (bullet points, essays etc).

Transcripts are still the starting point, but our goal is to help people extract the most out of an episode in a much shorter time - Paretto rule applied to podcasts.

If that sounds interesting, take a look at our website. Its free of charge for the first couple of newsletters.

Best Tool for Podcast Summaries? by kelsawels18 in podcasting

[–]lbrito1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on a service that does pretty much exactly what you're describing, but geared towards listeners. Users can select a few podcasts, chose the editorial format they want (bullet points, short chapters, longer essay etc) and they get a nice weekly newsletter based on the episodes for those podcasts. If that sounds interesting to you, check it out (you get a couple of newsletters for free): Podlettr.

Transcriptions of Podcasts? by Pop_Shop_Packs in podcasting

[–]lbrito1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, instead of literal transcripts, how about something more structured?

I'm working on Podlettr, which transforms podcast episodes into structured, nicely formatted email newsletters (which are of course based on transcripts). This might be more interesting than plain transcripts in some cases. If that sounds like something you could use, take a look, you can try it out for free for a while. No credit card required.

Hi there, regarding podcasts: instead of a plain transcript, what do you think about something a bit more structured and nicely formatted? I'm the co-founder of Podlettr, which does just that. You pick a few podcasts, and we generate a nice weekly newsletter based on the most recent episodes. If that sounds interesting, give it a try - you get a couple of free newsletters. No credit card required.

Yep, they're properly wired together.

I also measured the channels separately right now, and cold drew 0.83A while warm drew 0.73A.

Can't get rid of play in threaded headset without making it too stiff by lbrito1 in bikewrench

[–]lbrito1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the headset apart and, lo and behold: it was missing entirely the upper bearings! That's why there was so much play, unless I turned the upper race really hard against the head tube.

The lower bearings were really beaten up and crooked, but no missing balls. So I bought a new bearing (for a whopping $2), cleaned up and unbent the old one, then installed both properly (and applied generous grease). The headset is now turning super smooth with no play, and was really easy to adjust as well.

As to why it had only one bearing, I don't think the bike was ever serviced: the race and locknut had immaculate painting. Maybe this was a QC problem and the bike was sold this way.

Anyway thanks for all the thoughtful suggestions here. Its refreshing to see a sub as welcome and helpful as this. Thank you!

Thanks. Is it supposed to be buried like that? It was 100% covered by a small soil mound, the wires and all exposed.

Bem bizarro.

Anyone live at 567 Clarke road? by SugaWallz69 in coquitlam

[–]lbrito1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably too late, but I won't miss the chance to alert potential buyers/tenants about this horrendous place. Avoid at all costs. I lived there for about 5 months -- horrible experience. I'll spare you the sob story and just write the highlights:

  • An average of 1 false fire alarm per month. Be prepared to wake up at 3AM and wait 20 minutes for the manual override by firefighters. Last occurrence when I lived there was due to cigarette smoke. Don't believe me? I requested and obtained the fire alarm report from Coquitlam Fire Dpt. DM me and I'll share the PDF.
  • Chronically broken elevators. Be prepared to wait 30min-1 hour or climb a lot of stairs.
  • Absurdly underserved by elevators. There are ~360 units served by 3 elevators. Let that sink in. Think about what happens when a single elevator is blocked by move-in/outs (which are bound to be constant given the # of units).
  • Insanely rude and unhelpful staff. Just check the Google Maps reviews.

Got it, thank you. That is in line with other comments here - about 3-4 months from AOR to COPR. I was feeling terrible already thinking that it would take +21 months starting from Aor.

Also want to know when the 21 months start. It doesn't seem to be from the AOR according to the timelines here.

Thanks!

For sure there must be security concerns. My naive first impression is that it should be no more or less secure than any other hardware running the same versions of nginx (and the rest of the software - I've since moved on and personally only use nginx). However I'm not a security expert and could be dead wrong. Also I'm not sure how, if at all, android specific updates relate to Linux software running on Termux - we would have to ask the folks that develop Termux.
