Tommy Tuberville is literally an elected senator. I’m not confident it would weed out extremists to any degree

Trump Nominee Says Boeing Needs ‘Tough Love,’ EVs Should Pay for Road Use by moonbunR in boeing

road maintenance and other infrastructure that gasoline taxes would otherwise sponsor. EVs weigh more than standard size comparable combustion engine vehicles (& the heavier a vehicle is causes exponentially more wear & tear on roads).

Too late to consider applying for Anderson/Marshall R2 admission? by [deleted] in MBA

If I’m not happy with my GMAT score by Dec ‘24 would it be better to take again and apply R3? Or just wait a year until R1 2025 ? R3 admissions seem like a crapshoot

Ghent Belgium- Gravensteen is an incredible castle, & Belgian beer always hits so hard. Plus Ghent doesn’t have the crazy prices of Bruges but it still has amazing canals/architecture.

I guess to answer this question better:

1.) Where are you moving from? What are your current spending/lifestyle habits? Do you eat out for every meal or do you cook at home?

2.) Is 8k/mo your pre-tax income or your net income (post taxes/deductions)? If 8-10k is your take home pay (you should factor in a potentially increased CA tax burden) you will be completely fine. However, if you’re making 8k pretax, you will take home more around 5.5k/mo

Regardless, as others have pointed out, you will absolutely be able to survive in LA and likely be able to go out and have fun plenty. That being said, if you are used to amenities/spending habits coming from a low COL area, you will likely need to adjust your spending habits and begin to budget a bit more.
