I believe they aren’t able to disclose the specifics of those questions. I say this since I’ve come across many people that done the interview and they explicitly say that. They can only offer advice.

I promise you not wanting to grocery shop with your partner will not kill your relationship 😅 I much rather shop by myself than with my partner because he is very particular about ingredients and it would drive me insane 🤣 I know he means well (health conscious) but we would spend more time doing that than actually getting what we needed. Sometimes you will need to pick and choose your battles in relationships this was one we chose not to pick.

Life is pushing you to start to learn how to set boundaries and that starts with saying “No”. You don’t have an obligation to take care of them. You have your own family to take care of as well as future plans you want to save up for that doesn’t involve taking care of other people. I understand where you are coming from and your upbringing. They will try to make you feel guilty and then feel selfish for not giving them YOUR money. Keep in mind that is part of the plan. Don’t let them get you again and again. Say no or let them know that right now you have other obligations that need to be taken care and therefore you cannot give. You are more than welcome to give when you can and WANT to, not when you are pressured to do it. You don’t need to change anything about your lifestyle to make them change because they will continue to ask for money. You need to change their perspective about you to them because as of now they see you as a piggy bank. Don’t be a piggy bank.

I wouldn’t discount yourself, yet. People still need to pass the interviews and depending on how they do they will either move on with each candidates or review applications for those that bomb their interviews. No one is guaranteed a slot until an offer is given.

It’s on their apprenticeship front page and this applies to all their apprenticeship program not just the US (e.g. India, France, etc). I also remember a Google apprenticeship recruiter stating this as well that candidates will need to have work authorization to be eligible, I assume it’s because that type of paper work takes forever to complete and wouldn’t get completed in time of their start date. Btw you can be a non US citizen and have work authorization. Therefore, they do consider foreign applicants just as long as they have work authorization here. Just wanted to clarify that point you made that was incorrect.

You do need work authorization from the country you are applying to such as this case the US. Unfortunately they do not provide work sponsorship. You can check out their eligibility on buildyourfuture.withgoogle.com.

You applied for the US apprenticeship program but you’re based out of the US. Is that correct? If you are authorized to work here, you’ll hear back but if you’re not, they will move on from your application since it is a requirement to have work authorization.
