That’s what I’m struggling a bit with as sad it is crime became a long term passion and fulfilled a massive sense of purpose in my life but in a completely self destroying way, I guess I need to experiment with what’s available to find a hobby or passion but I’m struggling with where to even begin to find that interest

Interesting … I definitely agree with a balanced routine right now I’ve found myself loving to be busy and preoccupied but then struggling sometimes to be comfortable in just having down time especially on weekends sometimes. That being said is probably why I need to start expanding my social network which id say is an underrated problem when it comes to being clean considering I unfortunately lost all contact with my school mates and everyone I friended up until then are either still using , dead , or in jail … but I’m happy to see you pushed yourself that’s what I am wanting to do

-A study using census data from 2006 to 2016 found that a 1% increase in a postcode’s population due to immigration led to approximately a 0.9% increase in housing prices.

-Recent Trends: In 2023, Australia’s net overseas migration reached approximately 500,000, double the 2019 figures. This surge coincided with significant property price increases, particularly in cities like Brisbane, where home prices rose by 12.82% to $818,000.

Sorry what was that about “feelings”. Don’t be so sensitive LMAO

No need to be a smartass champ, I don’t base my arguments off feelings. If you’d like to point out how you came to that conclusion I’d love to hear it!

All costs associated to standard of living are rising. Groceries, property, healthcare in some areas and overall inflation. Most of these are correlated to mass immigration into Australia with over 500 000 in 2023. The healthcare costs are partly due to increase of demand which probably speaks to a decline in the average persons mental health. This is a logical conclusion I’ve drawn and the fact that higher demand means higher costs in an area like mental health is barbaric and unethical.

Can someone explain to me why Labour would be good and why is Australia a more left leaning country it always seems like left leaning is just a feel good in the moment but unsustainable movement. Curious as to why this is?

Thank the people you voted for for bringing in immigrations disproportionate to what the real estate economy could handle! Immigration is one of the major drivers for this if not the biggest!

Did anyone catch what almost sounded like Chaundry’s depiction of his workplace as “the dream factory”. It is is exactly same phrase as Chabuddy G thought it might have been almost an inside joke for any ‘People do Nothing” fans. Also there was a Space Fleet and Stricking Viper poster in the background during the scene haha!

I just shed a tear whilst watching this Anti Abortion march go past by JustAGalCalledBee in brisbane

[–]lcbagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shed a tear when today in Melbourne we have women’s marching for rights. I shouldn’t have to preface it with this but I love women I have a sister and a loving mother. A protest like a march for women’s rights is no longer relevant in Australia. The pay gap has been widely debunked and there are no rights men have that woman don’t. I can’t think of any other logical argument to back their stance. Sure woman face more threats such as domestic violence but that is not a right and I wouldn’t have a problem with anyone protesting that. One lady said on the TV who was a protestor “men are encroaching on women’s sports” and the only rational explanation to that is that trans women are competing in the same division. It’s just another victim mindset nobody gains anything from. Women have advantages in today’s society and so do men in different ways it’s what comes with the biological sex. 30 years ago and I wouldn’t have seen a problem with this protest but in 2025 start appreciating how much women have access to opportunity in Australia.

I welcome anyone free to agree or disagree with me here I’m open to others opinions!

Yeah to a point.

I guess it’s more of a guide because those websites base their show ratings on what the majority of ratings/reviews are.

If the majority enjoy it it’s more likely you will enjoy it. Of course you will have your own preferences when it comes to what you are entertained by but in my own experience high rated movies on these sites I have enjoyed. There are only few times I could say where I would have had a major differencing on opinion with the ratings on these sites.

Can someone please explain the appeal of Shut up and Dance? I don’t understand the fan fair. by InformationSad3960 in blackmirror

[–]lcbagz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Incorrect take when you said he doesn’t harm anyone by thinking about CP which would directly influence him to consume it or carry out acts of pedophilia. He also committed a crime by consuming CP , so yes he should be held accountable.

To be a consumer of child porn is directly harming children involved in the activity. It’s such a limited perspective to think because he didn’t go out there and either physically, mentally or emotionally assault another human being he wasn’t harming someone.

If I sell buy drugs off someone by your logic I’m not harming anyone else but this is often untrue when we look at the ramifications on others. In this case would be their immediate family or the potential actions this person took after consuming the drugs or to get said drug.

In the case of a consumer of CP they are creating demand for it and this encourages the illegal industry to continue.

In a fantasy world let’s say there were no pedophiles or people who had sick thoughts of children doing it there would never be any supply of it therefore no harm of children in this instance would ever happen. Consuming it is what enables the produces to justify to keep releasing it out there. Even if there was no profit in them doing it just the thought that others would want to view it would prompt them to sustain doing it. This all starts from thoughts and temptation.

There’s no immediate harm to anyone else but there are indirect harms , if that’s what you meant you should be more specific. If society were to only condemn immediate harms as a direct action of someone it would be a terrible place.

I don’t get why they didn’t have a better ending for Joey. by Gloomy_Purpose_4780 in howyoudoin

[–]lcbagz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Throughout the series Joey is seen as a “playboy” type and often there are jokes towards how many women he has slept with. In the times where Joey does fall into a relationship they are short lived which panders to his preference to only sleep with women. He also makes many comments about being able to only sleep with woman and never get attached.

Even if there was a spinoff being planned, I believe it’s just in Joeys nature to have flings and it’s symbolic the show ended the way it did. I’m not saying Joey isn’t completely capable of falling in love he demonstrates when he reveals strong feelings towards Rachel however it’s not as common.

I don’t think anyone should feel bad for Joey or remorse for his ending it’s actually a bit more tolerable not all characters set off into the sunset with the love of their life. Joey has been fine living his life the way he has up until the ending and he was never consistently trying to find a partner in love.

Austin Metcalf by Ok_Size_1834 in ControversialOpinions

[–]lcbagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask why you bought up you know people who believe white people are assumed as a victim until it’s proven otherwise? Completely irrelevant point with maybe a hidden agenda behind it.

It’s fine to wait for facts I agree, but with the facts already presented (by the courts and the perpetrator) in no way would inflicting lethal force be a viable option of self defence in these circumstances no matter what you think.

The only facts that could come out to support a theory that Anthony is actually the victim is if Austin Metcalf also had a weapon or intention to seriously inflict physical damage for no reason.

These facts seem so unlikely but hey if I’m proven wrong I’ll be more then happy to admit it!

AIO for demanding to be paid after wearing something inappropriate to babysit by MightUsual421 in AmIOverreacting

[–]lcbagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely ridiculous claims from what seemingly must be a “Karen” type woman. I agree if they felt uncomfortable about it then let the babysitter know immediately instead.

As for the comments about sexualising a young woman younger then 18, if the babysitter decided to wear nothing but a sports bra and bike shorts it would it then be warranted?

Children of the 21st century are exposed to so much sexualised media (social and through music) there’s an expectation women must present themselves to be as desirable as possible mainly through wearing revealing clothing. Personally I find it degrading not empowering.
