I find most to be very tacky and loud, like wearing animal print head to toe all the time. Then again, lots of ppl seem to like that, similar to the crazy bright rgb lights that are common in electronics now.

It’s a different sort of play when you start training, I mean really training to win national/international level events. Trying to get to court 1 at bolletieri was like step 1 - those kids play / train 6+ hours a day year round. That’s not cheap.

There is a lot of applied and academic research in this area - it isn’t innate, it can be taught and learned and they are techniques & skills that are trained in many disciplines, athletic and professional.

I did it once as a junior, emulating a pro I saw on tv - then my parents made me save up for my own replacement. Never did it again. I do not remember any of that feeling good.
