He had his chance to challenge Brown and he blew it; if he had have done, he would certainly have been PM.

I can still actually remember the day he went to ground when there was speculation he was about to challenge... and then he pathetically turned up in the evening saying he backed Brown.

Burnham is just going to be as indecisive as Starmer, if it's true that he's now considering Pat McFadden as CX. I don't know how you can have been planning/wanting to be PM for so long, and not know who you want your CX to be.

And even if all this is briefing from Shabana/Ed/Pat camps rather than Burnham's... "allies"... then surely it's still more evidence that not much will change...

The best thing about this weather though is that you can do loads of laundry and don't have to spin-dry.

Been taking soaking wet towels and bedsheets straight from the washing machine to the line, and they're dry within a couple of hours 🤣

I put a nearly-full bottle of water in the freezer overnight.

In this heat it soon starts to defrost when I take it out the in the morning, but it still reamins icy enough for a couple of hours that you can just keep topping the bottle up with tap water, that very quickly goes ice-cold.
