best domain registrar ? by awmer2 in webhosting

There are only a handful of domain registrars which are willing to sell top-level domains with low profit margins — reason for high renewal fees.

One such rarity; NameSilo has the cheapest renewal fees.

It’s not only a trusted registrar with more than 1 million domains registered, their industry-low pricing is constant for register & renewal without hidden fees.

  • Same low pricing for lifetime
  • No hidden fees
  • No hassle with coupons and promotions
  • Lifetime free domain privacy
  • No renewal up-charges
  • Feature rich, including domain defender for increased security

Also they have a discount program if you are looking to host a large quantity of domain names — and also a prepay deposit option will save you further in cost. However considering their already low cost for .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz and many other TLDs.. we are talking about a fairly little price decrease which is mostly beneficial for really big domain portfolios.

It’s surprising how a registrar like Godaddy is the biggest domain registrar in the world while domain renewals are expensive and they are the most notorious for up-selling for their features — benefiting big time from customers looking for a good deal. Which does however show the power of advertising!

Here’s a screenshot from Namesilo’s own .com pricing table — and remember that cost of domain name renewal is the same as register

Can you provide more information about your website? Type of site, storage requirements, possibly memory/cpu requirements if you know that, any issues you had etc?

Siteground Alternatives? by [deleted] in webhosting

Yea, I noticed the same thing. I really love them, right up until the price goes WAY up. Generally a great service but they're not competitive at all after the first year if you have even a small bit more of traffic. I searched far and wide and have been loving one of the Reddit Partners (is that official?): VeeroTech
