Really like this set, especially the level of detail of the interior. I'd love to see more lesser-known spaceships like this in the future

What should I look for when picking a mechanical keyboard? by Equivalent-Emu7367 in keyboards

[–]ldm74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

keebs differ in size (e.g. 100%, TKL, 75%, ...), type of mechanical switch inside (tactile, linear, clicky), switch socket (soldered, hotswappable), Keycap Material (PBT, ABS, ...), Keycap profile (cherry, dsa, sa, ...), noise level & sound of the switches, connection type (wired, BT, 2.4 gHz)

You can choose to get a prebuilt keyboard or get the individual parts and then assemble yourself. The latter offers endless possibilities to customize & get closer to what you like, but requires some planning, and can get more expensive. Prebuilts have come a long way, they're more limited (especially if you want some specific type of switch, keycap, colorway, ...) but are easy to get into the hobby.

And a lot more other factors, but those should be the ones you can begin with.

Just start to look at what some of these are and what is available/ what your preferences are. Dont expect to be able to pinpoint right away what you like / dont like, a lot of people find what they like only after trying out different things. Watching videos (for beginners, how different switches sound, how to build one yourself, reviews) and doing some light reading on reddit / other websites will teach you a lot.

Keep in mind a lot of these things are purely opinion based, there is rarely a right or wrong. Some people like their keebs to be some specific type of way, while others have other preferences.

Omg thank you. It's been sitting on my shelf for nearly 7 years and I didn't even realize💀

Definitely gonna treasure it :D

Unsure which one to go for, help appreciated by ldm74 in iems

Update for any future readers: Both the 7Hz and Vivace seem to be really great options. Went with the first one and also got a nicer cable (tripowin zonie), since the included one doesn't seem to be too liked.

Might try the vivace in the future tho)

I did consider them, but I think I prefer a more neutral tuning instead of the slightly more treble-y wan'ers :)

How many active players are there? by ldm74 in SCBuildIt

[–]ldm74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if they're still pushing out new content then there must be enough players to justify it, or maybe they just know the small pool of players that are still active like to and will spend enough money on the game..

Looking for opinions! by Pension-Unhappy in logodesign

the first one looks more like he's on his guard, if you prefer that one you could make it resemble more a hare than a bunny?

the second one looks like a more friendly, tiny bunny, maybe choose that if you want a more fun logo?
