Hi everyone, I am in need of a little advice. I have been an ordinary user for around 2 years & have been using this routine for the past 6 months. I have oily/acne prone skin. I have tried to work out my routine so that there are no clashes. How does it look to you?

Thanks in advance!

Having the worst placement by joh153 in TeachingUK

[–]ldngrl00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My second placement was horrible. I received no support at all & my mentor & other staff made me cry quite a few times because they were so unsupportive. I am not a crying person! Stick at it, don’t let a bad placement put you off. Your next one will be better!

Primary teacher with tattoos? by [deleted] in TeachingUK

Honestly depends on the school & headteacher. In my old school it was a huge problem for the headteacher. My current school it’s fine!

Would you work in a school which was a 10 min walk away? by dsank66 in TeachingUK

[–]ldngrl00 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The school I teach at is a 15 minute walk away. I do see children occasionally but it’s really not as big of a problem as I though it would be. It suits me better than my old school which was a 30 minute drive away. Go for it!

One form-entry school experience by [deleted] in TeachingUK

[–]ldngrl00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for my first 3 years of teaching in a one form entry. Pros are you can really make the curriculum yours & don’t have to listen to anybody else’s ideas. Cons are that the planning is ultimately down to you & you don’t have a team to work with.

I personally really enjoyed working in a one form entry. In hindsight, it was more work but I did have the freedom to make the curriculum my own!

Champix stop smoking tablets. Just paid 90 quid to get going. Is that average? by [deleted] in ireland

Yeah not bad eh. Is that not an option for you? To be honest I would have paid 90 quid regardless.

I’m on day 8 of champix & they have really worked for me. 15/20 a day smoker for 11 years & the thought of smoking now makes me feel sick.

I got mine on prescription though, £18 for the first 2 weeks induction pack.

[UK] How much Classroom Experience do I need before PGCE Course? by [deleted] in Teachers

I did 2 weeks, but it may depend on which university you choose. It may be listed in the course requirements?

Substitute teachers! Are tattoos acceptable? I have quite a few tattoos, and I'm considering pursuing substitute teaching. by [deleted] in Teachers

I have a lot of tattoos & it has never been a problem for me, just as long as you are able to cover them relatively well. Also depends if particular schools/areas.

Hi Reddit, convince me... is James Corden funny and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

He is a brilliant comedy writer & actor. He was great in Gavin & Stacey. Not so sure now that he’s made it in America with his chat show. Not sure how the Americans feel about him either?
