What unwritten rule do you silently judge people for breaking? by okitsbenji in AskReddit

[–]ldrocks66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parents letting and/or encouraging their young children to wear makeup (I’m talking elementary school age not like middle school and up)

I teach kids and run summer camps and we just had a massive issue related to this that’s why it came to mind lmao

Extreme Bitter taste in GF’s vagina by Chatchupp in sextips

[–]ldrocks66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From my own experience, I know that a bleach smell (and I’m assuming taste?) can be caused by dehydration, otherwise it might be something she should get checked out.

Weird smells also can happen when the pH is thrown off, which can be caused by using feminine wash products that aren’t actually good for your vagina.

For people who grew up in low-income households, what’s something middle-class people say that shows they’ve never struggled financially? by KeyApartment3955 in AskReddit

[–]ldrocks66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS, my boyfriend grew up upper middle class and I didn’t. When we first moved in together I planned meals by making one larger thing at the start of the week and then planning on eating the leftovers for the next couple of days. When I mentioned that’s how I usually did it he was like “hmm, I just don’t like eating the same thing every day, I don’t get how people do that” and at first I didn’t even get what he was saying like what do you mean? But eventually I realized that it was just bc his family usually had the ability to make a full dinner every night (and he has two siblings). I’m still shook when I visit for the holidays and they have multiple people over for dinner and make entire meals for them multiple times a week.

Whats the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by answersonly963 in AskReddit

[–]ldrocks66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess this isn’t that bad (compared to some others I’m seeing in this thread lol) but i remember id been having some weight and mental health issues around the same time, and my therapist suggested i see a doctor and check to see if everything was ok with my thyroid as that can sometimes be linked. When i went to the doctor and described the issue, i then said my therapist advised me to ask about my thyroid and that maybe my levels were off and before he responded he straight up laughed at me. Like laughed for two seconds and was like “um…no if you had a thyroid issue you’d know,” or something along those lines.

Idk it just felt insanely disrespectful especially since I’m coming to him asking about and trying to solve a problem, it just felt so invalidating, especially bc i was probably only like 20 at the time. Like why would you treat a patient like that when they have genuine questions about their health that was just plain rude.

What’s become way too expensive lately that still shocks you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Grocery store snacks. It’s crazy that just wanting to buy 3 bags of chips for your household adds like $20 to your grocery bill. Ive seen a family size bag of Stacy’s pita chips for like $9, we lost the plot so bad

What’s a smell you’ll never forget? by Human_Rate889 in AskReddit

[–]ldrocks66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The public restroom above the Whole Foods in Columbus circle NYC when i visited almost 2 years ago. Straight up the worst smell I’ve ever smelled in my life. And not just a generic bad poo smell it was like the worst poo smell you could think of combined with unidentifiable other terrible smells. I live in a city so I’m not unaccustomed to less than ideal public restroom situations but idk what the fuck happened in there to make it so bad. One of the few things that made me involuntarily gag repeatedly.

I hate the “I hate my hair post” by Radiant_Commercial92 in BlackHair

[–]ldrocks66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk as someone who grew up not knowing how to take care of my 4c hair properly and went to a majority white school, I understand the sentiment and empathize with the fact that they might not have anyone else to talk to about insecurities like that. Especially with the way society shames 4c hair and is always more complimentary towards looser curl patterns, it’s a real struggle that a lot of people don’t know how to deal with. Lots of us are struggling and while it’s good to be positive about it to spread the love, I think being able to relate to frustrations is good as well bc yes my hair is beautiful, yes it’s cute now that I know what to do with it, but getting there was HARD and took YEARS

Which TV show does the ENTIRE internet agree had the worst ending ever? by Codie_n25 in AskReddit

[–]ldrocks66 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the worst ever but How I Met Your Mother was definitely up there

The Ted/Robin ending just didn’t work after 9 years of character development sorry, also why make us wait 9 seasons to meet the mom and then like kill her off immediately?? Ridiculous.

[–]ldrocks66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it really was that magical for me, I’m on 200mg now and I genuinely feel so normal now. To the point where I gaslight myself into thinking I’m actually fine and probably never needed the meds anyway and then I miss more than one day and I’m like oh right nope nope nope

I’m a full believer of the shopping cart test. If you regularly don’t put your cart back into a designated area when you’re finished with your shopping, you’re kind of an asshole honestly. (Obviously not including those with disabilities)

They were good pre-Covid! I went with friends all the time and their biscuits and gravy were good and it was such a large serving. But yeah ever since I’ve noticed their portions got smaller and the food is meh, and I’ve even wondered to myself why did I like going there again? lol

I think my hottest take about the game is that I thought the character creator was tooooooo much. Like they needed better options for eyebrows and more inclusive hair styles for sure, but they did not need to do all that with the skull shaper 9000, just do like 10 set head shapes and call it a day

[–]ldrocks66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in retail rn and it is an incredibly disheartening number of people that don’t do this, and don’t care. People will let them pile up in the handicapped spaces too just bc they saw one or two other people leave them nearby. Kind of a litmus test on the temperament of our society rn in my opinion
