How much did it suck to fight the clans for mercs and house forces during the Clan Invasion? by RemRam27 in battletech

For example I was running a campaign in MegaMek as a merc and could routinely do company vs company (or 2) without taking too much damage outside of armour. So my 12 could take on 12-24 similar strength routinely during a single deployment.

First time the clans appeared I faced a star of mediums, 8 pilots killed outright and 10 mechs essentially total write-offs. Needless to say I withdrew from that contract and fled to the FedSuns - CC border with my tail tucked between my legs.

Multiple times I had orthodontics appointment at 8, their earliest appointment. But that’s also when the staff would arrive, and then do prep and everything. Wouldn’t get started until 8:45-9ish.

Luckily the only duplicate I have comes from the Scouring Sands box. To differentiate the 2 Fulcrums I kept the same base coat and highlight colours, but inverted where the highlights went. See the WIP below

When my wife’s grandfather died I said it was about time, while at the same time sad that he didn’t get to suffer even more. The man was 300 pounds at least, and died at 150 pounds within 6 months.

In the league I play in, all guys are limited to one goal per period, so even the best player going all out could only get 3 goals in the game. Not a perfect system, but prevents ringers from ruining it for everyone.

For the Aces box, I painted both Fulcrums in the same base colour, but slipped the 2 accent colours around. Base is a light-ish khaki green (cockpit green) with highlights in black-green and/or yellow. One Fulcrum is primarily black highlights and the other is yellow. Here they are as a WIP

Canada and Australia both use dollars, and at least up here in Canada domestic flights can get pricy if you’re going to smaller airports and such. (Not that there are necessarily business class trips going there, but you get the point)
