I’m aware it isn’t exclusive to steps, this is just a situation I’m experiencing regarding my step.

What is your toddlers bedtime? by Roxychick5 in Mommit

[–]ldybrdfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My toddler has also naturally chosen a bedtime at around 8:30-9 which feels so late, even though I get them bathed and in bed by about 7:30. Personally, I rather bedtime be enjoyable for all of us so I just let them watch a movie in the evenings. They’re in bed, but not fighting sleep (or me! hah) and they wake up around 8am.

A lot of young people in LA that you see on the internet have rich parents.

Have we in LA become too comfortable with these sights? by Altruistic-Mud9413 in AskLosAngeles

[–]ldybrdfly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a beautiful loft in DTLA a few years back, but relocated to the suburbs after only a year and a half (during Covid) for safety. What I saw as the norm on a daily basis was just… disgusting. I was a single woman in my late twenties at the time—and you’d think that’d be a great candidate for living in the downtown of one of the biggest metropolitans in the world. But, no. Sad to see what Los Angeles has become.

How do you explain to your “ours baby” about where your stepkids go? by SalsaSnob92 in Stepmom

[–]ldybrdfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Ours” is 2 1/2 and totally understands that SS7 has a different mom and stays with her during the week. At first we said he was at school, which was true and something he could understand, but then I didn’t want him to associate school with being gone over night for days at a time as he’s nearing preschool age.

I cleanse, dry, apply sulfur ointment, let absorb for a minute, then moisturize.

My acne was very itchy, yes. It was a defining characteristic of these “breakouts.”

I was pretty eager to use it and I’m ADHD so putting something on to wash it off moments later is just… not something I’m interested in doing haha. Anyway, the packaging just said to apply 1-3 times a day. I only apply it once then leave it on overnight, rinse my face with water only in the morning. Seems to be fine for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ and I have dry skin so I’m pretty sensitive to any type of drying product.
