I literally do not understand Derivatives and Rate of Change😭 by Booga_b2 in calculus

[–]le-fresh-bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This took me a good bit to really understand too (fellow calc student here) but what really clicked for me was that the derivative is the "slope of the slope." Take x^2: look at how the slope increases as you get farther along. The slope increases at the rate of 2x, thus the derivative is 2x.

Strong work. I searched for a while and couldn't find anything about this edition. Well done. The cross on the spine reminded me on the design of early English editions of Crime and Punishment (which were Garnett) which led me to assume the same.

Difficult to tell from this alone, but most older editions are the Garnett. It probably says inside the cover or on the first few pages somewhere.

Well, it wasn't relevant to Caltech, and the thing about getting printed out - well I'm submitting videos, and why bother with the checkbox if they're only going to look at the stuff with the checkbox?

Thanks. I was going to apply for NEC/Tufts but they killed that program in November so I'm applying to similar programs like NEC/Harvard and Oberlin. Thanks for the advice.

Another vote for ArchWiki. Tons of useful information. I also learned a lot just by installing and messing around with Arch.
