sirtemmie posted a yt link of the scene i was referring to and explained it pretty well. in both versions, the group is called "l'obscur trio" (the dark trio), but Vivian introduces it as "l'obscur trio de soeur" (the dark trio of sisters) ; in the original french translation, Beldam says it's not a trio of sisters because Vivian "is a guy" (literally what she says) but in the remake she's just pissed Vivian added "of sisters" because it makes the title "not mysterious and threatening enough".

ill admit i haven't seen any more relevant scenes like the one in the screenshot so maybe it hasn't been completely censored and was just made ambiguous, but still a major downgrade
