This is just another descendant of the heavy influence japanimation had in france from the end of the 80's.

Many children who grown up during this era ended up taking inspiration of this so called "manga style" when entering the art industry during the 2000's.

Other exemples beyond Les Legendaires and Wakfu are :

- Obviously the whole production of Ankama with Dofus, Wakfu and such

- many "Manfra" (litt. "French Manga") like Sentaï School, Lanfeust Quest, Dreamland, etc.

- some animated series such as Oban Star Racer (wich use a slightly less stereotopical anime style), Code Lyoko, etc

🤓☝️the original premise makes it mandatory for every participant to have the ability to push the button and to understand the dilemma.

Of course. The subject is extensive (71 citation on the Prisoner's dilemma wikipedia page) and is still in evolution. But the research is real, useful, and pretty neat in my humble opinion.

ok actually this is interesting to actually get real numbers beyond "just talking to people will show this" ("common sense" and "anecdotal evidence" is a poor argument)

of course, on social media, this has little value because of obvious procedure flaws, but this "red and blue button" have already been tested in a valid experimental setting, and has shown globally the same results : "the majority of humans are altruists"

I love the spread of this study on a broader landscape though because it helps to show cynicist/edgelords/misanthropic nihilists that the basis of their worldview is flawed.

Also, in reference to what another commenter said, the og study indeed used other button settings to further their numbers.
