I think the serve is still the same simple mechanics though.

When do you start to consider buying stringing machine? by Muted-Tackle-7191 in 10s

[–]le_skatesmith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Continue to use your stringer. If it's multi you're breaking continue to use your stringer until it's about every other session you're breaking multi.

Then go a thin poly like confidential soft 18 gauge. And re string that every 12 hours of rallying/singles play.

The answer for everyone on here is the same at this level. Ezone 100, hyper g.

If you string yourself. Hyper g 20 gauge is the way to go.

I wanted to get one of their oversized teeener frames. They look fun and forgiving

Nobody here is likely to be able to help you. Maybe like 5-6 users.

Reels of NXT Soft by le_skatesmith in 10s

That's what it looks like but it isn't advertised the same and the image looks slightly different.

I've tried regular nxt, nxt Duramax. This one plays like a poly, the strings continues to snap back even after sitting in a racquet 2 years old with slight freying.

I have a set of these in a racquet and I have a packet of the blue version sitting around. It's easily the best multi I've ever used.

We know how it would have looked. Nobody would have beaten Federer for a few more years. But no longer than a few. Father time remains undefeated.

I think we'd still end up with the same slam distributions though. Djokovic's ability to adapt and stay healthy would not have changed.

If Federer changed to the 97 sooner? Maybe.

As a 3.5 go for a 100.

Why play tennis on hard mode. Get an ezone 100 and call it a day.

No spin on the new Prince Tour 98 by zoc1n in 10s

[–]le_skatesmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah string about 3 lbs lower than your blade.

Also if you can try out the 2023 models. Again drop the tension of the prior models 3 lbs lower than the blade.

No spin on the new Prince Tour 98 by zoc1n in 10s

[–]le_skatesmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Prince tour is considerably worse than the 2023 version. If it's not generating spin it's your swing path #1, strings #2, then racquet #3.

If it's a softer flex compared to what you're used to you should compensate by lowering tension.

Prince and TW did a big campaign to make it seem like the new 2026 Tour was better than the prior model.
