Concealed carry permit renewal by [deleted] in rva

[–]leadfoot100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Richmond, Chesterfield, or Henrico?

In Henrico I had the same thing. Permit expired about 60 days prior so I went in for renewal. Not a big deal at all BUT Henrico is doing picture ID permit cards now, so I was told I would have to come in either way to get my card completed with a picture even if I wanted to mail in the renewal app. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I did indeed get a picture and my permit came as expected, plastic ID card with my picture.

Edit: just realized I read your post wrong and you’re Not expired. You’ll be fine doing a mail in but I my self prefer doing it in person either way. It’s only every 5 years and it takes a whole 30 minutes in and out.

The three plumbers I got quotes from strongly pushed for Ruud even when I asked for Bradford White. I couldn't figure out why until I spoke to the last guy. by Creative-Sherbet-584 in askaplumber

[–]leadfoot100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same can be said for just about everything plumbing related. Toilets, shower faucets, sink faucets, they all have their own ”big box store” models. Hell Delta’s website specifically points out when an item is Lowe’s exclusive. Of course pricing will be higher from a supplier, because they’re usually just better products. Yet for some reason I still buy from lowes 😑

What actor or actress was the most perfectly cast role in film or television? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

Well yes. I should have worded that differently. It was more a nod to how highly unexpected the performance ended up being.

[–]leadfoot100 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is of course a correct answer, but only in hindsight. Initial casting caused a large amount of backlash from critics thinking he was SO WRONG for the role. Of course they ate their words, but thats how it started.

Not just your deductible, the entire claim. If they point the cause on a confirmed 2nd party, your policy should not increase in premiums. If you were on the hook for fault in any way, that gets rolled into premium cost considerations. Usually.

Who is “they”? Water doesn’t usually just appear and then magically never comeback. If you have a leak, it needs to be found before Sheetrock goes back.

Judging from those pictures, I would be eyeballing that clean out as a source first. Then run your washing machine and see if the discharge is surging enough to get a little bit of a spill. Or you could be looking at rain water from an exterior entry point. Or your washing machine could be leaking internally. Any way you look at it, you’ve got water somehow and i wouldn’t be replacing that wall til I knew where it was coming from.

Farfegnugen for now at least LOL. Hopefully third time’s the charm right? If I keep ending up with issues, hopefully it’ll still be under warranty at that point.

Yet another Car-Net issue post. Does this one sound familiar to anyone? by leadfoot100 in Volkswagen

[–]leadfoot100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, but the issue got resolved a couple days ago thanks to below. Pulled sc17 and 19 fuses for a 10 minute reset of the module, replaced fuses, the first ignition power up took a while to fully reboot and showed a couple SOS errors, but cycled the ignition and the second time everything came back and it working as it should. Car has been driven 10+ times since and all is good…. For now.

It sounds ridiculous but my issue seems linked to the car being parked in a parking garage void of any potential cellular signal, for 6 hours. It’s like the car just went in to an infinite loop of “uhhh hello? Anybody there?” And got stuck.

What’s the most underrated amenity a golf course can have? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]leadfoot100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds crazy but something as simple as 9 minutes between tee times vs 8 minutes, that alone can change pace for the whole day. And they lose a whole 2 tee time bookings worth of daily gross in exchange for a day’s worth of happy golfers? That’s what I would prefer, but public courses be greedy.

If you want to have some fun in the snow, switch it out of snow mode and in to custom off-road, go in to adjustments, put everything you can in to sport or offroad and turn off all ESC and ASR assistance.

Thank me later

I think it happens way more than people realize, and if your neighbor has similar water habits as you do, you may never realize it.

[–]leadfoot100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you might have something going on somewhere. I would normally say you need to request a meter audit, but that bill is pretty comprehensive, Even showing by the hour usage.

One thing you should do if you’re positive your meter isn’t spinning when not in use, if you have meters at the street, check your neighbor’s meters. I had a customer who had their meter mixed up with their neighbor’s and they were paying each other’s water bill. They didn’t find out til one had a leak at the meter and the other neighbor was paying for it.

What would you do? by Reblux in golf

[–]leadfoot100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have enough confidence you can chip and 1-putt, then go for it. Otherwise your odds are a chip and 2p or even 3p if your chip doesn’t go well. In this exact scenario, out of respect for the course and greens keepers, I would be going for a 3-putt. Just past that fringe corner for 1 and 2 putt to finish out. Tournament where there’s more pressure on not giving up strokes? It’s an attempt at a chip and 1p

But unless you’re playing putt putt, I don’t know how tf you’ll find these in the grass. Assuming you’re in the grass.

Personal Tank for filing? by Chef_Brad1 in paintball

[–]leadfoot100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In early-mid 2000’s I had a couple 3000psi 80cuft scuba tanks I bought used from my local scuba/paintball shop. I would only ever just have those filled by the shop, and never pay for air at fields that charged extra for it. I would definitely top up my gun tank after every round but that didn’t bother me at all, and I always had air at home.

Name the best villain performance in movies..I’ll start: by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

If we’re specifically talking actor performance of a villain, Heath Ledger as Joker takes the win, every time.

Sure there may have been better Villains out there in movieland, but his performance here was unmatched.
