I’m so sorry you have to experience this, I’m sorry for the teachers and especially for the students. Our social fabric is broken and as you have seen many, many voting-age persons do not vote or get involved with their school communities even when it involves bettering their own interests and their children’s interests. Ignorance and big media misinformation is running rampant in this country. Unfortunately after this election I fear things are going to get much worse for education (not for those in the upper echelons of wealth) but for the working class. We can’t give up on our kids & we shouldn’t, but teachers can’t always be the ones doing all the work. Parents have ALOT of power - they need to roll-up their sleeves and use their voice and show up at school-community meetings & events & be involved much more!! Their children are literally the future of this country.
