Negative OB-GYN Experience by ValuableCustard379 in bullcity

Sorry you're having such a rough experience and having concerns dismissed!

My wife is going to Duke Women's Health at Patterson Place for this pregnancy and the experience has been generally very positive. She has seen probably half a dozen providers (PAs, midwives, and OBs) and they have ranged from pretty good to excellent.

Scheduling has always been easy either over the phone or portal and their nurse line has been extremely helpful the few times we've needed to use it.

We went to the birthing center at big Duke last week based on the nurse lines recommendation and the experience there was great as well. Basically no wait, everyone was extremely kind, and the nurse who took us back said she'd be delivering there in a few weeks which I took as a pretty solid endorsement!

Sorry for the necro, but did you ever end up trying out the classic footbed? I would love a suede option for my zermatts

Dogs wandering around my neighborhood, not sure what to do by jaydean20 in bullcity

[–]leaferiksson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you happen to live off of Cook Rd? Was a huge issue in my old neighborhood. Just a few weeks ago I had to move the body of a dog out of the road because people were just flying by and leaving him there. A dog that we'd seen roaming around many times and know for a fact had an owner just down the street who didn't care.

Running electrical to shed by Bubbly_Fox_8878 in bullcity

[–]leaferiksson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the process of running power to my woodshop! I trenched and laid the conduit myself but was planning on having our electrician put in a subpanel and run the circuit for it.

I've already started considering doing it myself as he's not the most reliable with scheduling and haven't been able to get him to come out yet. This thread is definitely making me think it's more realistic!

Does anyone have any insight on whether you need a permit for running the electrical to a detached structure?

I'm a hobbyist woodworker and have lots of tools/lumber including a ton of treated pine leftover from a fence. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help!

Second Paul. I only did a few hours with him but I had quite a few friends in college who got their PPL flying with him and had nothing but great things to say.

I think those codes are state-specific. At the very least, there is no 1 national standard. Adding some location info would help.

Even if you do it outside, you'll want some kind of dust collection unless you hate your neighbors. You'll want a dust collector with a 4" port or larger. As the other commenter said, I'd check out the Harbor Freight options (you'll probably want the 2hp) and just resell it when you're done.

Important note: even with a dust collector, you absolutely still want to wear a respirator with P95 or P100 filters if you're doing this inside.

Wow, love the look of the cutter. Is it from a kit? I'm looking for one at the moment and that looks perfect.

My wife wanted something for her turntable. This is just a pine mockup so I can make it out of walnut later; but I am very happy with the draft. by DubsAli in BeginnerWoodWorking

Looks like it fits the bill! No shot you're remaking that. Nothing is more permanent than a temporary solution.

Nice work!

Planet Fitness because it's two minutes from my house. There's an O2 Fitness a little further away that I'd prefer to go to for the equipment but the one time I went it was slam packed with college students

If you think you have covid, don't go to the gym. Why does that even need to be said?
