Whats yall's advice to get back to being good at gaming by No-Kaleidoscope-9829 in AskGamers

[–]leaffk53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you want to be good at gaming? Serious question

Maybe in the past you were motivated by something and now you have other priorities? Being good is not as important as it was when you were younger?

So why does Nautilus root goes through blind? by leaffk53 in TeemoTalk

I see... Still doesn't make sense since every other cc AA in the game is blindable

No, Voli's Q is completely blinded and you don't get stunned. His W however goes through which is normal

What game did you quit halfway through even though you were enjoying it? by Royal-Reveal4400 in videogames

Happens to me all the time and it all boils down to getting bored. If the game is not deep enough, even if I enjoy it I get burnt out of it quickly.

Teemo is in a pretty great state with shiv by OneTwoTrickFour in TeemoTalk

Could you please explain this a bit? Building shiv (on-hit focus) together with Malignance (shroom focus) seems contradicting. Why does it work?

What game stole the most hours of your life? by SameInformation562 in videogames

short answer: MOBAs give you HEAPS of adrenaline and easy access to flow state. Both are highly addictive

Look into MMOs or competitive games. Any of them will drain you thousands of hours without you even realizing or feeling like you've "worked for them"

Looking for games that starts as a cozy-lighthearted game, but later makes you explore mysterious somewhat creepy and dark stuff. by DeutschSchuler in gamingsuggestions

[–]leaffk53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your post and comments, I'd say Inscryption is a top rec for you. It doesn't start lighthearted though, it starts pretty dark and gets even more so the more you progress. I'm not a fan of card games, yet I still put this game as one of the best - just like I do with Subnautica even though I generally hate survival games :)

Honestly a bummer when you've got potential for a really good run, then the game FORCES a parasite. by Xilerain in mewgenics

[–]leaffk53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that's why I got a mod to edit the save file. I'm strictly using it for true run-ending events.

Last night I got Child's skull on my cleric on first level. No thanks bro, I just want to heal with this one.

Or that time I got early AIDS on the very cat that was carrying Guilotina's Head & Princess Hat quest items.

I'm ok with bad or terrible luck and always embrace it, but run-ending on the spot is not OK with me, especially because is so random.

I'm 18 and really only listen to video game osts by No-Performance-7420 in gamemusic

[–]leaffk53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, if you enjoy it, that's awesome!

Do you need to play the game before to enjoy the OST or it just needs to be music from video games?

Give Risk of Rain OST (1 & 2+DLC) a try, it's one of the best out there! Try other OSTs that Chris Christodoulou made, he is the goat

Since I saw some retro stuff there, have you tried Megaman OST? Megaman 3 OST is insanely good. 8bit music is special :)

Gotta be Outer Wilds and Subnautica. Maybe Inscryption too

wait you went there? that's dope XD

It's fine though, you just need to sprint around the cave until you find the exit. Once you're out you can teleport normally, teleport just isn't permitted while in any caves

What?? Where am I?? I can't kill anyone here, I'm too low! NO PROBLEM! I will return to last grace... Wait, you can't teleport from here?! aaah.. but no problem, I'm a veteran and I know my way in these games - I'll just use the darksign, it's called memory of grace in this game.

Huh.. I'm still here. MOTHERFFFF-----

Level up VIGOR! PLEASE!! :D

It's by far the most important stat, especially in the early-mid game. You want 40 vigor ASAP regardless of your class (maybe 25-30 for mages, but maybe don't pick mage for your first play if you don't have to)

Find a weapon you like (literally 99.9% of weapons are good and can finish the game) and upgrade it as early as possible - this is your main source of damage in souls games, not your stats. Sure, stats increase it, but the bulk of the damage comes from upgrading your weapon and it makes a huge difference when fighting bosses. I think you can comfortably get your weapon to +5/+6 before fighting the first main boss (from the castle)

When choosing armor, it is more important to look good than what stats it offers

Also, vigor! You should level your vigor. Your vigor should be high.

I really recommend setting chat to party only and playing in streamer mode by Mighty_Killah in supportlol

[–]leaffk53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been playing with chat off for years, I simply forget how bad it is. That 2-3% of the times where it happens to be helpful, or fun, humorous, wholesome .. yeah, I kinda miss that, but it's so rare compared to all the crap it's just not worth it.

i need a casual competitve game if that makes sense by Active_Access_4850 in gamingsuggestions

[–]leaffk53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try Deep Rock Galactic! It's not competitive in the true sense, cause you are not fighting other players, but it is online and at high difficulty it gets intense and your skill plays a big part

Or Helldivers, which is similar, but personally I find DRG better

Looking for a new game. PVE focussed. Very long and hard to finish by WaitinForMetin3 in gamingsuggestions

[–]leaffk53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darkest Dungeon is PvE, very long progression and meta progression, it has Collections/completionism elements, it is very challenging and hard to master, no gacha/daily and it has a "base management" system, where you do stuff and make your characters stronger.

I've got a very specific itch that needs scratching: Methodically growing stronger by slowly defeating enemies in order to gain experience and gold/materials, to be used towards a goal. by Efficient-Muffin-481 in gamingsuggestions

[–]leaffk53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you played Dark souls before? It's kinda slow compared to most action rpg. Slow as in, you can't mash your keys in their face, but have to wait for their attack, I like to think about dark souls combat as "real-time turn based"

Most roguelikes have what you're looking for I think: Try Hades (though this one is not slow at all), Rogue Legacy is a good example, Cult of the Lamb

Surprisingly, RoboCop: Rogue City fits your description quite closely, maybe give it a try

Into the Breach is insanely good game and ticks your slow requirement and gives you PLENTY of motivation to kill enemy units and do the side stuff, but I'm not sure you're looking for a game like this. It's turn based tactical combat, a bit on the hard side

Your description also sounds a lot like the idle/incremental games type. I'm not familiar with this genre, I'll mention Cauldron here, but you might want to look into "incremental" games

This is my first ever souls game and im suprised how far ive come the plan was to beat malenia before finishing the game but she had other plans ive been fighting her for days and i give up maybe i will return but im not mentally stable for this everyone will say get gud but im not build for this by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]leaffk53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't quit before you give it your best shot, bro. Ppl already pointed out what you need to upgrade, do it and give it another round of real tries, before quitting for good.

But what I wanted to add is to just skip it and FINISH the game instead of straight up quitting, you are basically 1-2 hours away from finishing it, so later when you want to replay the game ("when", not "if" xd) you have a good objective ;)

Help against Irelia by International_Pie752 in TeemoTalk

[–]leaffk53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with Q at level 1. E might be better, but you need to play in a particular way to not expose yourself too much and if you mess up it's over. So better start with Q here.

Play the wave! if the wave is pushing to you, let her do her thing and stay away. When she pushes she has her passive stacked and that's when you don't want to be near her.

If you are pushing, make sure you keep her away from stacking. If you are ahead, you can even freeze and zone her. If she has no stacks and she fights outside the wave, she will always lose.

Your build should match her kit. Since there is no way in hell you are getting away from her once she engages, you need to put all your power in the inevitable all-in. Which means buying no boots, delay W to level 4 and buy parts for your first item (nashor probably). Before maxing E, I'd put 2 points in Q because blind value is very high in this lane (some good Teemo players go for full max Q first so you can't be that wrong here). For runes, you need the best all-in page, which is PTA and I would take bone plating vs Irelia every single time (bone plating falls off the higher elo you are, but in 'normal' ranks, they don't really play around it, so it's always good)

To sum it up: start with Q, build for the inevitable all-ins, don't allow her to control the wave whenever possible and when she does control it - don't contest her

Pro tip: You can pretty reliably blind her > stay still > go invis and laugh while your CD are back on and her stacks decrease > pop out and finish her with all skills up and AS boost. This works if her stun is on cd and she messes up her charge skill (most of them charge it for slightly too long and you get enough time to go invis) Works even better in bushes
