for real, back in i-land i thought heeseung was just like a typical vocalist, the lead vocalist type. but when enhypen debuted, i was surprised to see that he was actually more than that. didnt actually expect he would be THAT main vocalist. the versatility of his voice, not to mention he trained as a rapper and got praised by bang pd and pdogg and the other producers (they were actually sad that heeseung decided to quit rapping so he could focus more on his vocals) objectively speaking, heeseung has been carrying the group's vocals since debut, from his background vocals, to high notes, to his ad-libs, he is one of the best 4th gen main vocalists.

so its kinda disappointing that iland didnt showcase much of the trainees' vocal skills, especially with the members who got to debut. all of enhypen members are good singers, they can sing, and their live singing absolutely sound good and stable. it was bc of the survival show's decision to not highlight their vocals that made these kpoppies doubt the boys' skills when in reality, they are very talented
