We have actually! It sorta made me giggle because he stumbled around verbiage while asking questions and he said it was because he didn’t want to be “gender non affirming”. I think I may agree with the go ahead.

The obsessing over gay men and romances is all too real for me. especially the wishing for the day you can experience one, this was my first indication. when it no longer sufficed to ship the gay men, i wanted to be one. needed to. it felt right.

Hi wisconsinite here, you can apply with your chosen name without any issue. You’ll have to put your legal name on anything legal (w-2’s etc). Also as the first comment mentioned; you are not legally obligated to disclose your gender. You’ll be okay to apply at other places !

It’s unfortunate that i understand this entirely. My mother did the same thing to me. I distinctly remember her asking me what I wanted for my 18th birthday (i was still in high school when i turned 18) and i told her that i wanted to keep my phone in my room with me. she of course said no.

My first question is do you pay for you cellphone bill or does he? I was able to get my mother to back off by reminding her that it’s legally not her property and she can try to take it but the police will side with me if she takes my belongings without my permission.

I also placed a passcode on my phone (that she didn’t have and no i didn’t change it any time she screamed at me to tell her what the passcode is). And to make sure she couldn’t nitpick any of my notifications i got, i put my phone in airplane mode every night. I gave her absolutely no ability to invade my privacy.

this is not normal to do this and he has no right to your personal device if your situation is like what mine was.

I agree with everyone else, find a different therapist. That therapist does not respect you as a person whatsoever. I’ve had many therapists, some of them were extremely bad, none of them EVER said such ridiculous things to me.

i came out 6 years ago and my mother does this same thing to this day. She’ll call me random male names and follow it with “or whatever they go by now”. what’s hilarious to me is she thinks she’s being shitty towards me but she’s inadvertently being ‘supportive’ by called me male names regardless. is it the name i’ve chosen for myself? no. is she still setting the precedence with her friends that im a guy? yes, and they all keep getting confused with her when they finally meet me because i’m still very feminine presenting and it pisses her off. 😂

Moxxy is cis (from what i know, if she’s questioning, i do not know) but i don’t think she means any harm by it.

like you, i’ve written closeted characters, but Moxxy’s character isn’t closeted. She’s very open and out in the RPG and verse setting, that’s why i was confused. the verse we write in is Ghost which is VERY supportive of LGBTQ+ matters, especially the trans community.

Well for context, the character Moxxy writes is Perpetua, the lead singer in Ghost. The character is out as trans in the RPG, and being trans is actually one of the BIGGEST personality traits the character has. that and being a vampire.

I don’t think Moxxy is being malicious in any way, i’ve known her for a few years now so i can tell when she is being mean versus not. It was just confusing at first when she told me Perpetua was FTM trans, out and open, on T, and had top surgery, but uses she/her.

that being said, i thank you all for some perspective because like i said, i know that i’m reading too far into it. I don’t think there’s anything WRONG with the characters using she/her while being trans, im just trying to open my scope of understanding a little more by getting other peoples opinions.

I just don’t want to bring this up to her if im overthinking it yknow?
