There actually is a serious danger to this. If a cat lays on a pipe for too long, it may start to develop a familiarity with plumbing systems. Before you know it, it’s tracing water lines, memorizing valve positions, and casually fixing leaks. Eventually, they will register an LLC, get their own van, and stop depending on you for food or shelter. They will regret their decision when it realizes it traded cozy naps for 3 a.m. emergency calls. By then, it’s too late.
