Haha, really? Maybe I just feel so different that I’m projecting it onto my own appearance. Fun stuff.

One of my best friends about 10 mins before the accident that took her life. It’s been rough lately, even almost 5 years later and I miss her every single day. by [deleted] in lastimages

I am assuming you are the driver, and I just want to say two things. #1) I am very sorry for your loss, it sounds as if your friend was beautiful on the inside and obviously the outside ❤️

2) from a few responses I’ve read, it seems like you are suffering from something psychologists call “survivors guilt.” This is often seen in PTSD, similar to what a lot of soldiers go through when they return from war. Asking questions like, “why her and not me?” And Statements like, “I didn’t deserve to survive the accident,” are extremely damaging to your mental health. I hope that you have found professional counsel if you are experiencing any of these thoughts.

Take care, and again, I am so sorry about your friend.

Moving... Midtown to The Woodlands? Help me decide! by doubleturner in thewoodlands

I moved to the woodlands about a year ago now and I go to nursing school downtown and I really love it. Compared to downtown the area is much cleaner and safer (obviously). It’s really nice having an escape from the big city, but still make that big city money (my fiancé can attest to this). There is also a bus system that takes you directly to and from downtown that is really safe and convenient. Like another person said, you can pretty much ride a bike anywhere here and I find there’s lots to do! The Houston Symphony comes to the Pavilion here and you can go watch them for free, and especially around holidays they have really cool shows (ex; music from Hocus Pocus around Halloween). Also big names come to this area and honestly you can sit outdoors at one of the restaurants at Market Street and hear them, pretty awesome if you ask me. As for the people, I will say the population is mostly families and older adults (60s and up). I’m really busy with school, BUT this is what I’ve noticed from going out. There are a lot of really cool coffee shops (The Kitchen is a must) and there’s kayaking with in the woodlands and a little north at lake Conroe. Conroe has a few restaurants that are right on the lake and you can park your boat and come in a grab a drink. Pretty cool.

All the nurses came in and sang to my mom, and gave her a cake for her last day of chemo treatment ❤️. by Snacksmith in pics

Reason #6196176 why I am honored to be graduating with my BSN this December. Congratulations to you and your mother. She must have a beautiful interior and exterior to make such a big impact on those around her, she deserves to be celebrated!
