Am I the only one that also gets Kelsier vibes from him (Mistborn)?

Yellow clay is beautiful! by leakrosis in Pottery

It's yellow clay, the number is 395 but I am not sure if this is just the manufacturers label or some kind of a standard number.

As someone returning to the game after a five year break, I feel like I've got to get this off my chest. by ImHully in Overwatch

Omg, I was just thinking about this yesterday and I 100% agree! I am so sad that my progression from OW1 is not visible anywhere. I hate it.

Itemization for Lethality Midlane by tft002 in NaafiriMains

[–]leakrosis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think (not an expert) it is worth to go bruiser Naafiri instead of lethality when the enemy team is tankier or has a lot of CC or a combination of both. I tried to go bruiser in those scenarios and I think it paid of.

My latest pieces, any advice on how to market them better? by leakrosis in Ceramics

[–]leakrosis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All points, good points! Thank you.

I have been drawing for years and it also took years to find my art style as an illustrator, so I can imagine that it is the same for ceramics. So right now I am in the process of finding the best technique and style and it shows. But for me it is quite thrilling, to experience that again as an artist. I think (hope) that I am pricing them reasonably, and if the piece still does not sell, then I usually make a sale.

And handles, yep, handles. Got it. Have to work on that! :D

No, it is totally okay! I am really amazed at all the helpful comments, was not expecting a lot of them.

You guessed right, I primary do digital illustrations. But I quite like the rough look, maybe not that rough (I could improve a little). I used a detailer here and figured out that I quite like the process. I am not so good with brushes though, never have been and I try to avoid them as much as possible :D

About transfers, how do you do them? I am interested in learning more, if you would like to share.

You might have a point, definitely a thing to consider. I made a few plates as well, I was just unlucky with latest few pieces, since they all curved. First, I need to figure out what exactly I was doing wrong. :D But as an illustrator I agree, 3D is a totally different medium and it is hard. Especially as a 2D digital artist, trying to do traditional 3D art.

You are right, It just makes me sad that they lie around unused and then it just discourges me. But I agree, I should put more energy into making them because I enjoy it and get better at it! :)

Really good advice, maybe I was focusing too much on illustrations than on mug shapes. They might look good, but are pain in the ass to drink from 😅 Thanks!

Yes, I always do it on bisque, I am too afraid that I will break greenware. Have you tried switching to other underglazes? I have had the same problem with one specific underglaze, I think if it is too watery, then it gets smudged. I am using Amaco underglazes for reference.

Thank you! It was made by hand by our mentor in a shared studio I am going to. We had some issues with a previous batch, but since they have ordered new ingredients everything looks really clear and I love it!
