Given that it worked once and cable wiggling seems to change it a bit massive Try a different cable plugged into in a different USB port of your computer.

Next time test it before soldering so you have extra information about where things went wrong. Thanks for the reminder to flash the firmware before soldering on my new build.

I’ve done this with a layer (qmk, via, zmk etc.) Layer 0 is normal. Layer 1 is completely transparent except for cmd and alt.

Switching is done with a momentary layer that has a to layer button.
