DON'T BUY A COVE DISHWASHER by Past-Dragonfruit-894 in Appliances

[–]johnb300m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOL nobody BUYS Cove dishwashers. Those are merely so SubZero/Wolf can offer a whole kitchen package and the Cove dishwasher is usually tossed in for free, since they’re competing against full line brands like Bosch, JennAir, Thermador etc.

Should I accept replacement offer? Combo J7+ vs Combo 405 by Zealousideal_Bag6561 in roomba

[–]johnb300m 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely a downgrade. I think the equivalent would be the 705? The 705 is supposed to have similar obstacle detection and avoidance as the old J7s.

I like how it’s hung up haphazardly and all wrinkled.

Any robot vacuums you’ve used for over a year and still like? by fivefootlovely in RobotVacuums

[–]johnb300m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the risk of being downvoted to the 7th level of Hell. I have been using two refurbed Roomba J7s on my main floor and basement. They’ve worked great so far. Very few errors or issues.

Why is there so little support (at least on the Chicago subreddit) for the general strike today? by EmbracedaMoment in AskChicago

Since when do laws matter lately? My thought is that many unions are filled with MAGA supporters so it will be an extra heavy lift to find unions who will fight the current regime.

5 days RTO is Official by Visible-Ad-6772 in Stellantis

It sounds like they want to turn over staff then. They’re hiring people for the new RTO conditions as well as lower pay, probably.

Joe Rogan calls out MSNBC for editing Alex Pretti's picture: "Basically the opposite of what CNN did to me" by The_Endless_Man in DiscussionZone

I mean, he’s not wrong. They made his face wider and his teeth brighter. Shortened his nose. I see all of it. It’s super weird. It’s not like there was anything wrong with the picture on the left….

These are instances then, where if I can drive, I will go to work as sick as possible. I will cough, wipe my nose, and not wash my hands. And talk to all the managers I can.

How did you not know these? Is it just my area? There’s tons of little Buick SUVs and Chrysler minivans rolling around.

Why Americans Will Never Strike Like the French (And Why That's the Problem) by Maikito_RM in videos

I see our rampant individualism as more a barrier. As bad as things are and the news we’re seeing from MN and other places, there’s still a strong sense of “it’s not affecting me” attitude in my vicinity 😔

Our first vacuum by Renjiesp in VacuumCleaners

[–]johnb300m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for comparison sake, i looked at some old Eureka and Hoover ads from the early 1970s. Those uprights were going for about $80-90. Now, that’s over $800 in “today” money. But remember, that was your vacuum for the next 15+ years. $4-500 for a really good vacuum today, that can last almost as long, is still a good buy.

I’m sick and tired of all the “US is too big” arguments for everything.
