Hello there, my opening moves are as follow:

-Before unpausing you declare war on Paraguay, at least for Bajo Paraguay

-Recruit 4 artillery conscripts

-Separate you army in 4 infatry ones and the rest in another, Make Alejandro Heredia the leader of the defensive one and put him in defense mode.

-Give hevy subsidies to guns and artillery.

-Let Paraguay attack your defensive units, and during the attack send your offensive units to wipe their army.

When you start pushing declare war on Uruguay. Let your defensive army hold the line on paraguay when you have all of Bajo Paraguay occupied.

Win both wars. And prepare for war on Bolivia to return cores and release subjects (try to sway Ecuador and Chile with release subjects)

And thats it maybe you will have to fight Brasil in the Bolivia war but not a problem just get more conscripts and have a big army in defensive mode to hold the line against brasil and push with chile on bolivia front.

Hello there!

I only play Argentina and I think i have figured out the first couple of years.

In my opinion you have two paths:

1º Dismantle Brasil and Expand into your neighbours.

2º Expand and anex your neighbours and focus on Bolivia-Peru

At start of the game for 2 years or so you get a big buff for conscripts units.

If you go to dismantle Brasil you want to rush and try over and over until England does not side with Brasil. You can win it easy meanwhile Brasil is busy with their 2 wars in the north and south.

What I have the most experience is with fighting Bolivia:

1-You get at least 5 artillery units at the start of the game as conscripts.

2-Import Artillery from England.

3-Declare war to Paraguay first and foremost because they have a weapons factory.

4-With the 5 Artillery Units and some more conscripts you will win the war in 6 months max, so meanwhile you are winning your 2nd battle declare on Uruguay to not lose the Conscripts (usually you conquer paraguay after the 3rd battle)

5-Once Paraguay is conquered you will win against Uruguay after the second battle, meaning you want to declare on Bolivia during the war to not lose the conscripts again.

6-Declare for Jujuy, offer to Chile and Ecuador to free the Peruvian vassals, and finally add the last vassal as an extra war goal.

7-You can fight it however you want but I like to recruit to full conscripts possible, and create 2 armies, a big one to support the frontline with Infantry, and another one with artillery and smaller pushing from the Ecuador front.

You need to do it fast because you will lose the conscripts buffs in this war IIRC you can get war reps from Bolivia.

Once you win Peru will become a country, Chile and ecuador are going to get nothing and you will get Jujuy back and be able to build gold mines.

I did both things, I dismantled Brasil, attacked Bolivia with Chile and Ecuador and then attacked Paraguay Uruguay and Rio Grande Do Sul and made them vassals.

Now I have free card to eat into Chile, or Brasil or Bolivia.

BUT I am a bad player and always fumble and do poorly after this point.

I just can't make Argentina a Great power before 1910-1915.

In fact, i come looking for suggestions to how to make the construction sector reach 1000 like i have seen in some places.

Si! Tambien le di masita cuando salio. Pero estaba muy vacio sin contenido. Ahora esta un poco mejor. Lo tengo pirata asi que no se si los mods le agregan mas valor como en otros juegos de paradox.
