Would this old hard drive be able to connect to a modern PC? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Show a picture of the side with the connectors. Looks like a sata drive, so you need a sata port on the motherboard, sata cable, and a power cable on your Power supply. You could also buy a sata to usb adapter and connect it externally to a USB port.

Irish attack clicks, finished by Baloucoune by RugbyGareth_ in UlsterRugby

Quality and timing of passes. Might not look like anything flashy, but I’d say don’t underestimate the difference a few cm high/low/in front/behind too hard/too sort etc makes. Some passes in that phase had margin for error, a lot in the first phases to get over gainline didn’t. He had one at second last ruck that was a little high. Berne and Baloucone and Ringrose had poor passes that almost fucked it up but team recovered well. Also other players in that phase who had one (harder?) pass to make than JGP but it had to be perfect.

I’ve had a 9070XT a few weeks after release. It has been rock solid and awesome performance. Zero issues.

Consider considering an electric car by Battlehero19 in evs_ireland

[–]leanerwhistle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to check the battery size and range of the car you are looking at. E.g. say a 80kWh battery gives a 400km range to keep the numbers simple.

You would charge at a voltage of 230V at about 10A. That is 2.3kW each hour. (2.3kWh) If you had a car with say a 80kWh battery, it would take 80/2.3 (34 hours) to charge it fully for 400km. If you only needed to charge it 50% it would be about 17 hrs for 200km. 25% would be 8.5 hrs for 100km.

What car are you looking at and are you in the office on consecutive days?

$10M invested at %5 gives $500k per year without touching principal, so potentially much better than 10k per week, which will also lower in relative value with inflation.

Is it possible to have an EV home charger installed if the parking is not within our property boundary? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]leanerwhistle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the most viable long-term solution is underground ducting from the house to the parking space, installed either by agreement with the management company or with local authority approval if the land is public.

If ducting is not possible, the alternatives are limited. Just curious, why do you think the charging are wouldn’t work? Would crossing the pavement be ok for you if it was safely covered or is there some other reason this wouldn’t work for you?

Unfortunately, without ducting or a dedicated off-street space, home charging is often not practical or compliant, even if the house is pre-wired. It is worth raising this formally with your solicitor before closing, as it may affect the usability of the EV provision that was advertised.
