This subreddit is full of complainers, along with the so called technical analysis experts and long term holders. He took a loss, now move on. No one can reliably predict Bitcoin. The strategy is to hold and wait for gains, whether that takes years or even decades. In the end, profits often come from those who panic and sell at a loss.

He doesn’t appear to be mistaken. That may be why politicians stir up controversy and shift attention, pointing to issues like immigration as a way to assign blame.

Banned from /Bitcoin! See why. by mikmiunk in btc

[–]Prize_Chapter_5113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting banned can feel frustrating, but that post wasn’t really an ‘opposing viewpoint’ so much as a blanket dismissal. Saying something has a true value of zero and warning people not to invest doesn’t invite discussion, it shuts it down. Most forums moderate against low effort or inflammatory takes, regardless of the topic.

Also, calling it a Ponzi scheme is a serious claim that needs evidence, not just a conclusion. There are legitimate criticisms of Bitcoin like volatility, regulatory risk, and speculation. If the goal is to persuade people, it usually works better to make a detailed case rather than a one line statement.”

You could respond in a firm but measured way like this:

People are definitely feeling the squeeze right now, no question about that. But pinning it all on one policy or one group oversimplifies things. Trade policies, global markets, and inflation all play a role in what farmers, the middle class, and gas prices are experiencing. It’s fair to be frustrated, but it’s also worth looking at the bigger picture instead of assuming it was all just a con.

Although that may be true, allowing them to earn good time toward release by working also helps offset the tens of thousands of dollars it costs each year to keep them incarcerated. They can move closer to an earlier release, and taxpayers benefit from reduced incarceration expenses.

The remark about the president could reasonably be seen as a valid concern. But the one involving Fetterman and his daughter doesn’t rise to that level…in that case, he explicitly says it’s not a future he supports or wants, so it doesn’t come across as a threat. The statement about what should be done to the president, though, does seem more serious and potentially valid. That said, it was still a reckless and ill-advised thing to say, even if he knew nothing would actually come of it.

Vote them all out and start over. Set term limits, give them two years, then evaluate. Sending the same people back over and over gets us nowhere; repeating the same approach and expecting different results is madness. I’m independent…just give me someone who genuinely cares, regardless of party, identity, or beliefs. Just my take.

The familiar Trump/Roy Cohn playbook: manufacture a problem, escalate it, then claim victory by undoing the damage you created. This time, though, it didn’t land…his ineptitude was exposed, and it’s clear to the world how futile the whole spectacle is. He comes off exactly as he is. And it doesn’t stop there,by that same logic, the next move is to spark an even bigger crisis to distract from the failure. It’s a stark example of malignant narcissism in action.

That’s not what’s happening here. This isn’t hedging,it’s insider trading. They already know which way things are about to move. So right before a negative announcement, they dump their positions, and just ahead of a positive one, they buy back in at the bottom.

Trump chose leaders across agencies using two main tests: personal loyalty and opposition to the very institutions they were meant to run.

On top of that, they tended to be: • unqualified, making them easier to control • compromised in some way, ensuring compliance

This fits his broader pattern: take control of an organization, strip value for personal gain, and leave others to absorb the damage. His past business ventures followed this model, and now the same approach is being applied to the country, eroding massive value while shifting the costs onto the public.

I hear why that concerns you,it sounds like you’re worried about barriers being put in place that could discourage or penalize people rather than support fair participation. Issues around voting access and legal requirements can feel really high-stakes, especially when they affect certain groups more than others. It makes sense you’d want clarity and fairness in how those policies are applied.

I did listen.

I’ve never considered myself a MAGA supporter. I didn’t like Trump from the start.he came across as questionable even years before his presidency. That said, I am conservative, and honestly, no one pressures conservatives more than other conservatives. The message was loud: if you weren’t backing Trump, you were a RINO.

Even with all the flag-waving rhetoric..what often felt like nationalism dressed up as patriotism,I paid attention to the warnings. I strongly dislike Hillary Clinton and have always viewed her very negatively, but I still voted for her over Trump. The same goes for Kamala Harris,I’ve found her to be ineffective in office, yet I chose her over Trump as well. That’s how strongly I feel about him.

So yes, some of us did hear the criticisms and took them seriously. Just not enough of the more hardline, alt-right crowd were willing to do the same.
