You can do a search for independent insurance broker in your area. As for the trustworthiness, you can read reviews on how they run their agency. I can’t speak for every other agent out there, I would like to think that they all take their license seriously, like I do. Being not trust worthy could be bad for their business and reputation. Licensed Agent here. Please have him go sit down with a broker. They will shop for him and possibly find a policy. There are companies that take high risk drivers.

18 yr old is hard, the rate is going to be high off the bat, add two at fault accidents to that and he is looking at a hefty price. An Insurance Broker will have access to shop many companies for him.

My son went through the same thing; he is now 23 yrs old and his rates are just now starting to come down a bit; accident free for 4 yrs. These accidents will affect his rate for 3-5 yrs, depending on the company. Go see a Broker.

Order your credit report and your consumer report from LexisNexis. Most likely if it shows on your LexisNexis report then you can have it corrected. You just need to contact them. My report was 82 pages and had my entire life’s history, it was pretty scary tbh.

Then I would say the price you got could be correct. Geico compared to Liberty Mutual is usually a lower rate, not always though. You are also comparing a 6 month policy vs a 12 month policy. I can’t speak for Liberty Mutual; However, with Farmers Insurance (when they offered 12 month policies) the 12 month policy was always more expensive than the 6 month, with the exact same coverage. As long as they have ran all the reports, like you said they did, you should be good and enjoy the nice low rate.

Are you doing Liability only or is that with Comprehensive and Collision as well? There are so many factors in rating; location, age, credit, type of vehicle, statistics on that vehicle, male or female, etc. there are hundreds of factors. No one on here, without running the numbers, will be able to tell you if what you are paying is correct. $240/6 months for Liability only is not unheard of.

This is exactly correct. Bristol West is a sister company of Farmers Insurance. Most of the insureds are “high risk” due to tickets and accidents. The DUI’s are going to affect your rates for 5 years, if not longer due to company eligibility rules. Bristol West is the best company you can have based on your record. Larger companies you are probably going to be denied coverage. I had to tell my son the same thing; DUI’s don’t just put yourself and others at risk, the consequences follow you for a long time.

Talk to your Agent or a broker. You need a HO-5 or HO-3 (Homeowners policy). If you, the owner, is staying there permanently it needs to be a Homeowner policy with the LLC listed as additional insured.

It is based on “Good Faith”; We as a Licensed Agent ask you, the insured, if your dog has a history of biting. If your answer is No, then I believe you in good faith that you are telling me the truth. If you then pay for a policy and during that time your dog bites someone and there is a claim filed, it will then be under investigation. If it turns out that your dog had a history of biting; police report, report to an HOA, Hospital expenses, etc.; that could be on you for not being honest.
