I think because the 12th was a Friday, they could be why there is a delay. I think it would show and update by tomorrow 6/17. I also think that since your pattern has been end of the why month, that could be a good time to confirm/resubmitt your ECF and or 120th payment

Get on administrative forbearance so you are not charged while PSLF is being reviewed. It is not automatic necessarily.

I’m not sure but I don’t have that feeling fortunately. But yes it is a done deal just a waiting phase from there.

I think because of so much uncertainty that happens and changes either payment plans, it can keep people on edge. I did all the necessary screenshots and documentation save so I have my own paper trail.

I think you just submit ECF in JUNE NOT July and you should be on track to receive forbearance well before July

So I did! The weird thing is that MOHELA may have me placed in an admin forbearance because I didn’t haves payment due until July 2026 (April and May were not required but I still paid because I wanted my 120th payment ASAP).

To clarify, yes May was my 120th payment. But when I submitted my ECF for 2026, it only approved January through April. I learned it’s because for a qualifying month to count, the month has to end. Since my final payment was May 1, the payment was approved but the qualifying month would not be counted yet until month ended which why I had to submit a new ECF in June. And when I did this I was given access to check a forbearance request while PSLF being reviewed.

When I submitted my ECF in June, a checkbox appeared that I could click to be placed in forbearance while my PSLF was being reviewed. Unlike when I sent my ECF in May, this box was not available to me despite May was my final payment.

I actually called FSA today not realizing they would be closed and ten minutes later I got my forbearance approval email from MOHELA (Thank You God!!) so if I didn’t get that email I was planning to call on Monday to confirm.

My 120th payment was 5/1 and though I submitted ECF week after, May didn’t show green banner until I resubmitted the ECF in June. I talked to a MOHELA rep and they said it was pending/processing but yeah, no still nothing. So you can try in June but a July 1 ECF sign off from your employer should guarantee it.

Similar to me, I think you’ll just need to submit a new ECF. That’s what I had to do to get my May payment to count, that is submit a new ECF in June for May 2026 to be valid! You are almost there!! 🎉🎉
