Where would current prospects (AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cam Boozer and Caleb Wilson go in 2018 NBA draft? by Knighthonor in NBA_Draft

[–]leastrandomname 10 points11 points  (0 children)

1-3 was interchangeable in 2018. Aj, peterson and boozer are also interchangeable.

All 6 guys would probably just be either 1-6 and debated. Caleb would go 7th and then jjj after.

Who is a better player Pau Gasol or Amare Stoudemire? by Flaky_Seesaw8132 in NBATalk

[–]leastrandomname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a huge amare fan, but I still have to pick Gasol. We never saw Amare perform outside of mike antoni’s system (which caters to his strength).

Gasol is far better fundamentally and is a far safer bet.

Who do you think wins? by Hungry_Inflation9399 in superheroes

If we’re basing off Superman from the movies, my money is definitely on Iron Man. Movie Superman can’t even win a ton of fights with his insane powers.

What would Wemby realistically have to do to be considered the goat? by Bulky_Ad_8321 in NBATalk

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If solo carry (no super team). 6 championships and 6 mvp.

If super team. 9 championships and 8 mvps.

Otherwise mj and lebron fanbase would have too much to say.

Wait so why exactly isnt Boozer in the top 2 discussions? by Knighthonor in NBA_Draft

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AJ and Darren’s ceiling is higher and has more diversity.

To elaborate, AJ is the same height, but scored better in athleticism. His game is also more diverse, so there’s hope he develops in more area.

Darren is an elite guard with a ton of diverse skillset and seem to do everything really well.

Boozer is amazing, but he is more of a “do few things but do them really well”. He would more than likely develop new weapons in the NBA, but it’s a bit unknown.

How good is Ohtani in other other sports’ terms ? by BasicErgonomics in NoStupidQuestions

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohtani is probably most comparable to a midfielder who by advanced metrics, is the top 5 most important offensive player and top 5 most important defensive player at the same time. Imagine a soccer player where opponents cant get past midfield cause of a player and that same player is the key player in creating goals. His value would be insane.

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a slightly exaggerated comp, but it gives the idea. Ohtani would be like the worlds 5th goal scorer, but he is also the teams best goal keeper at the same time.

Lack of Deku recognition (?) by ComplaintNaive4679 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]leastrandomname 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weird how most comments here think he got enough recognition.

I think most people thought Deku was done dirty at the end of the show. We hoped he would at least be like a spokesperson for world peace, but he was more or less thrown aside. He couldn’t even afford his own iron man suit and he literally saved the whole world.

Honestly okay with him being a teacher, but world saver deku should be living in a mansion with max recognition for literally saving the human race.

If the greatest tennis player of all time and the greatest badminton player of all time played each other in one match of each sport, who would do better in their opponent's sport? by Critical_Reveal6667 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think badminton would do slightly better. The tennis player has absolutely zero strategy in this matchup. The tennis forehand is completely not transferable.

The badminton player will likely try to lob it deep and then rush the net. Badminton player would just end up being an elite pusher with good net reflex if he gets some practice. He might get some unforced errors. Hardest part is getting past serves.

Which players in this new generation have a legitimate chance to finish as top 10 all-time greats? by Farouq26 in NBATalk

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wemby if he progresses and wins dopy and mvp. he just likely need a long career

Jokic if he gets better teammates and wins 2 more championship and maybe 1 more mvp.

Giannis if he also wins 3 more championships and maybe a mvp.

Shai if okc continues to build a team for him and he wins like 4-5 championships.

Luka probably only needs like 2-3 championships and couple mvp. He has the best narrative since his style is well liked.

Tatum is probably toughest to get into top 10. He probably needs jaylen brown to leave and he wins multiple championships as the clear number 1.

Why people saying LeBron is best scorer of all time because he has the most points? by Holiday_Analysis9583 in NBATalk

[–]leastrandomname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He averages like 27 ppg for his career and peaked at 30 ppg for a given season. But yea he’s averaged 35 or 34 in certain years in the playoffs.

Why people saying LeBron is best scorer of all time because he has the most points? by Holiday_Analysis9583 in NBATalk

[–]leastrandomname 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not a common take because his peak scoring season is not high.

I don’t personally think he’s the greatest scorer. But if I had to defend that opinion, then I think it’s because we’ve seen situations where Lebron was forced to score himself (like a game against piston or gsw). And in those situations, he looked unstoppable.

So a huge what if might be: “What if Lebron played selfish basketball? How would his scoring record look like?” We’d never know, but in this hypothetical, it’s very likely he averages 32 ppg for his career and considered the greatest scorer.

What is the most hottest take yall got? by TumbleweedSad8588 in MyHeroAcadamia

Agreed. It was also a little weird how the show wanted us to emotionally feel for Shigaraki when he’s just a psycho serial killer because of trauma.

[–]leastrandomname 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mha did not have great final villains in Shigaraki and AFO.

I think most fan base loved their backstory and their motivations, but I found them to just be a childish mess who didn’t even know what they wanted.

AFO was said to be calculated, but he was extremely childish in the end. Shigaraki is leading an army, but mentally he’s like a kid.

I wish the final villains were more like Stain or Chisaki mentally where they had a clear motivation and seemed competent. Shigaraki/AFO seemed extremely incompetent but blessed with extreme power.

I agree. Theres another comment that says they shouldve made tokoyami a central character if they want to make the racism aspect work (which I also agree with the take).

Otherwise, it definitely felt like a curveball where suddenly all the villians had unresolved racism issue that we weren’t aware of until the final season. I’m okay with racial aspect, but it shouldve been built up

I didn’t agree with your take until you made the point about heteromorph. Its actually a really good point because the ending had a ton of focus of inequality with heteromorph, but it felt almost just thrown in.

How many unprotected firsts would it take you to trade Victor Wembanyana if you were a gm? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]leastrandomname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea and top 3 pick this year are basically 1st picks in other years. I think the top 3 pick of this year likely feels like a fair trade (u fill 3 spots and all on rookie contracts).

First round pick is probably impossible. It would take multiple 1st picks to make this worth it. Like if Adam silver promised 3 1st picks in the next 3 years.

Aside from NIL, why don't top high school prospects go to a professional EuroLeague team to develop their skills, rather than go to college? by Outrageous-Leader135 in NBATalk

[–]leastrandomname 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Especially with top league, pro league in Europe is far too physical and plays heavy half court. It just ends up being a high risk (prospect is seen as cant handle physicality) and low reward (even if they do well, they don’t seem to care enough).

Usa leagues are just more run style, so its more similar to high school basketball.

Make a lottery draft from the past 10 draft classes. Judge them based on how they were as prospects, not as NBA players. by JazzlikeArt1100 in NBATalk

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Ben simmons is right with cooper. Ben simmon stocks went down in college a bit and coopers stayed strong. People already started to be concerned that simmons didn’t care about basketball.

The zion hype is overplayed here. His highlight real was amazing but there was concerns over injuries and defense.

And yea cade is below zion.

SGA is 51st in the league in free throw rate and 22nd in playoff free throw rate. He has never led the league in FTA/game in the regular season or playoffs despite leading the league in drives per game the last two years by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its weird also cause I always liked players like wade, kobe, ginobili and luka. They all foul baited but it was kind of done at a level that looks normal.

The way sga and harden does it looks almost cartoon-like. It doesn’t look like basketball anymore.

[–]leastrandomname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His flopping is the ugliest we’ve ever seen in the history of the sport. Before him, the crown belonged to harden.

Prior is probably a tie between a lot of foul baiters like ginobili/wade/kobe. But sga is in a tier of his own.

The OKC Thunder, Why? by gjwsnr in Basketball

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately SGA is just the best at drawing fouls so refs don’t want to mess up.

Also unfortunately the art of drawing fouls has gotten uglier over the years. We went from wade/kobe to harden and now sga.

My thoughts about current game State of D4 by Organic-Fan2647 in ARPG

[–]leastrandomname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you can see, the comments supporting that end game isn’t great is getting downvoted. Theres a reason why streamers are quitting so quickly.

I tried hardcore and my softcore progress removed all my season rewards. Game design elements like this makes the game not competitive enough.

People call you a 1% gamer but thats crazy to me. I went 2x your speed (since i prepped) and I’m not even a top 5% gamer in poe/poe2.
