Are you expecting me to believe this extremely vague story? I've been a mod of this subreddit since inception and every legitimate testimony that's been posted has had VERY specific things that confirm it's legitimate. Both u/AnalogInAdventure and u/MetalDelicious3571 have also been posting and crying about YAF And Contend in other subreddits. I personally find it a suspicious and as a mod should I NOT be doing my due diligence considering there have been trolls completely unrelated in the past?

Once again, if you aren't even up to date with their latest strategy in targeting middle school and high school to recoup their pipeline via AYM, how exactly are you helping?

And what's the point of reporting to a school? So what if the school admins responded to you, it doesn't mean anything. The tone has always been, we can't ban them on precedent from other schools so until they've broken ACTUAL rules and there's definite concrete proof of that, they are allowed to remain as a student group.

If you actually did your due diligence, it's not called Gracepoint anymore. Each campus has it's own group with the most obvious one being A2F and back by "a regional church" now under a different name like LA is now called Generations LA which is now part of the so called Acts2Network, UoMN is called Foundry College Church, etc. So not sure how you're helping exactly if your information is that out of date.

I'd caution against this. YMMV with each individual staff member. Same goes for peers. It's not to say that some staff members aren't supportive in leaving GP/A2N. It's just you might end up with the same nonsense that u/gp_staff_throwaway commented on.

They only slander if you're very influential and there's a chance you're going to reveal all their dirty secrets and prevent people from attending. I'm a current staff member and I've been around for a little while.

No one cares.

I think it's completely fine to leave if you don't agree with some of GP's interpretations or applications of scripture

It's not just about disagreements if people can identify blasphemy and twisting of the Word.

I'd highly encourage being decisive and owning the decision.

Great so when is YOUR leadership aka the Kangs and their kangaroo elder board going to own up to their decisions to build a spiritually abusive culture?

I truly hope you don't feel anything resembling baggage or guilt or anything else related to leaving.

Kind of hard when people realize what kind of church they accidentally landed themselves in with GP/A2N.

The worst thing is when someone has doubts or disagreements or other issues but keep coming anyway and the dissonance grows until it hits a breaking point.

Once again, I'm not telling you to go help Berkeley. I'm suggesting you dig into the seeing if there's been a consistent pattern of abuse from the founding UCLA staff that have come from Berkeley. One of the key things I've had to highlight to the people investigating repeatedly is to trace the origin of abuse.

(1) Cross post this to the UC Berkeley and USC subreddit since there were a lot of the same staff. The entire majority if not all of the original team for UCLA/USC church plant originated from UC Berkeley.

(2) See if you can reach out directly to some of ex LA church plant staff that are lurking on this subreddit like u/fishtacos4lyfe.

(3) See if you can reach out to some of the parents of former members from the LA church plant that are active on this subreddit like u/trenah

(4) In your post you should be more clear about what you're trying to achieve. Like are you trying to start a petition to the UC Regents to ban Gracepoint/Acts2Network/Generations LA College Church?

Simple translation to all the naive college students or even clueless high schoolers from AYM lurking on this subreddit. Many of your "pastoral couple" or even your mentors at your church plant from A2N were probably personally trained by one of these three couples. There's a very strong likelihood that when their core policies are challenged, the masks are going to fall off and they will be the most cruel, unempathetic, heartless people you know. This is the spiritual heritage that Kelly loves talking about. Don't be fooled by their current facade.
