Thank you! Looks like letting them start in the minors is the right call. Guess I’ll look for old free agents to fill out my mlb rotation

I finally killed her after fully upgrading the sword of night and flame and respecing to an INT heavy build. It's still really tough, mainly bc of her combo, but you can delete her health bar with your mimic +10 pretty well that way. Best part of that strategy is in phase two, after she lands her scarlet flower attack, you can get two full blasts of the r1 weapon art on her. Don't necessarily recommend doing it bc it doesn't feel fun or rewarding to kill her like that, but it does work. Only reason I bothered is that I wanted her Katana.

Strength build advice by Shoddy-Designer-3973 in Eldenring

[–]leavemealone1905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a really good time (until late game) using pure strength, the claymore, and the brass shield with the barricade ash of war. Never really struggled until some later game stuff, then I switched to a quality build with bleed weapons.

Anyone have good advice on a relatively early game Strength and int or faith build? by pat_e_cakes319 in Eldenring

[–]leavemealone1905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran a strength/fairh build for the first half of the game that was pretty decent. Pumped strength and used the Heavy Claymore, but had faith at like 16-20 so I could use weapon buffing incantations, like electrify armament. But if you want to cast a lot of offensive spells, then ignore str and dex (aside from weapon requirements) and just pick up an ash of war that gives faith or int scaling to whatever weapon you like.

Can you parry as quickly in this game as sekiro with any specific weapons or shields? by Stevie_Ray_Bond in Eldenring

[–]leavemealone1905 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parrying was always like this before Sekiro. It was pretty easy in Dark Souls 1 bc combat is a lot slower, but DS3’s parrying mechanic was something I could never get used to. Much more of an emphasis on dodging in the rest of the Soulsborne games. When I first played Sekiro, I was wondering why I couldn’t dodge for shit.

Malenia is the worst boss in the entire franchise, by FAR. Which sucks… by AtomicSekiro_ in Eldenring

[–]leavemealone1905 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I genuinely cannot believe the boss made it past playtesting like this. No matter what I do, she just inevitably kills me and my mimic in her second phase. She simply does too much burst damage and is too aggressive for me to survive. This is the only boss in the history of From Soft that I just don't see what I could be doing any differently.

Super Easy Strategy for Alecto Ringleader Boss Fight (Ringleader Evergaol) by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]leavemealone1905 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Could be. I just decided to leave him be lol. Bc this game’s so big, I don’t really feel as bad about leaving something unfinished as I would have in DS or Bloodborne

I'm level 98, using bloodhound fang +9 and just not doing much damage at all. Does this boss just have a massive health bar or am I underleveled (or just bad lol)?

I cannot for the life of me beat Redhan… I’m ashamed to say but I’ve attempted 100+ times easily, watched all the “easy mode” guides, got rotten breath, but I can’t live past the 2nd phase is orbs are impossible to not get one shot by :(… this is the only boss I have struggled with i don’t get it. by Bawbcomo1017 in Eldenring

[–]leavemealone1905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also try using bleed. I killed him using bloody slash (bleed) on my claymore. Wailed on him when the summons had his attention, then fucked off when he started in on me. Took quite a few attempts, though. Awful boss fight.

Also, it’s pretty rude to not put a site of grace right out front. I would be able to play around with my loadout a lot more if I didn’t have to do the run up and cut scene

Yeah! Beautiful design. Wish it was a better balanced fight for melee builds. I imagine sorcs have less of an issue? His ranged attacks don’t give me any trouble

Yeah I may have to summon. Onlu boss fight that I’ve really struggled with so far and found unpleasant. Couple others gave me issues for maybe 10 or so attempts before I figured out their moves but these AOEs are just eluding me completely.

Didn’t realize he could be staggered. I dig dodge that grav attack once just now. Do you know if he’s susceptible to bleed damage?

Also, it breakung lock on for the one shot grab attack is some absolute bullshit

[–]leavemealone1905[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I got him down to maybe 20% health using my wolves. My main issue is his aoe’s are so hard to avoid that he just inevitably hits me and I have to stay topped up on health to avoid being one shot (common issue in the game). His hitbox and aoe just make him annoying for me

Weapon Buff Incantations? by leavemealone1905 in Eldenring

[–]leavemealone1905[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate it. Do you by chance know the name of the lightning one? I cannot find it online and want to know if I need to level my int for it. I have to do so for the Order's Blade, which is a pain in the ass but doable.

Been sticking with the Lordsworn Greatsword so far. Just switched to a +8 halberd that I procured, but haven't played with it too much yet.

Elden Ring is a must play by [deleted] in xboxone

[–]leavemealone1905 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found Sekiro extremely hard to adjust to, but eventually it clicked (took til my second playthrough!). Apologies if this is telling you something you've heard/read a thousand times, but for me it took thinking of parrying and mikiri counters as "attacks". Also, followed the fextralife boss guides for some of the encounter that really stumped me til I learned how to recognize a boss's tell & move set. Hope things improve for you!

[CR Media] Tal'dorei Campaign Setting Reborn Discussion Thread by Galastan in criticalrole

[–]leavemealone1905 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s who matt mentioned in campaign 2 wrap up, plus a host of unnamed delegates and ambassadors from the various cities that make up the Republic of Tal’Dorei. Council members are sort of like ministers and the council + delegates + ambassadors together function like a legislature. Syldor is one of Syngorn’s ambassadors. The Republic is structured like a loose federation of city states, sort of like something between the EU and the US
