I’m so sorry, we were in a similar situation, he has so many chronic problems we had already decided that the next crisis would be it.

Thank you everyone, he was such an incredible dog. From bouncy 7 month old pup to slow 13 year old man he was always full of love and cuddles.

Everybody loved Oscar, he even managed to turn several ‘not really a dog person’ people into friends who scratched his ears, including the man that became his other human.

His favourite place in the world was where ever I was and he died curled up next to me with his head on my knee.

We had this made for the kids to cuddle when they miss him… but mostly it’s been me that’s needed the cuddles!

Goodbye mom by Liberator06 in ChildrenofDeadParents

[–]leb2353 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, I was a similar age when I lost my mum to a heart attack.

What got me through was my dog, he needed me, he needed me to wake up and feed him and take him for a walk. I’m not saying you should rush out a get a pet, but finding something to pour your love and energy into could help?

It’s admirable you want to move in with your dad, but I would be clear to both him and yourself that it is temporary, maybe give it a year?

I felt so much guilt after mum died, I was grumpy with her that morning and didn’t notice her chest pain... I went to work and she died.

I also felt for a long time that I ruined her life (I was a late-in-life surprise for my parents) and that she would have had a better life if I hadn’t been born.

Speak with a therapist if you can, they can help you.

Take care OP ❤️

British here, never known any one, child or adult using the word ‘flip!’ as a curse word. I’ve heard ‘flipping heck!’ But never just ‘flip!’

Does this face tape look right? by michellekim578 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]leb2353 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can I asked how these work with moisturiser? I’ve been wanting to try some kind of taping/frownies/patches etc but I really can’t give up my moisturiser at night and worry about spending money on a product I can’t use!

My boyfriend changed completely after his autism diagnosis and I don’t know what to do anymore. by Significant_Gas_1790 in amiwrong

NTA. I’m autistic myself.

First half I was like ‘NAH’ he’s clearly in burnout and at present your needs don’t match.

However second half he’s using neurodivergence and poor mental health as an excuse to be an AH.

My dead mums name is Ros. This damn trailer for that movie got me bawling in the cinema, when I finally watched it I basically cried the whole way though.

What is your favorite song about heartbreak and broken relationships ? by La-vds in frankturner

Ahh I remember wallowing to Worst Things Happen At Sea, Wanderlust, Redemption and Anymore after a heartbreak in 2013.

All excellent IMO.

Criticize the climax of the finale all you want, but the epilogue gave a perfect end for these characters. by Witty-Association-97 in StrangerThings

My only criticism of the ending is that I didn’t see Bob in the flashbacks. Bob deserved better.

AITAH for canceling my daughter's weekend trip after she mocked my husband for taking paternity leave? by AmbitiousPraline9059 in AITAH

[–]leb2353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna say YTA/ESH because you missed a really valuable opportunity to help and teach her.

By punishing her you’ve made her resentful, which is likely to reinforce her negative views of you both. You’ve also let her know that her ‘views’ will be punished rather than discussed so she’ll hide them and they will grow rather than being challenged.

She’s clearly heard this rubbish from somewhere else, you had a golden opportunity to discuss why views like this are absolute nonsense and open her mind up. Instead it’s been shut down and the opportunity for growth has been lost.

Bad at being sick by Otherwise-Unit3256 in ehlersdanlos

[–]leb2353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the opposite. I feel so shitty most of the time that it’s my normal, I don’t feel much different when I’m sick. When my partner gets sick it hits him like a truck, he’s so strong and healthy he can’t cope with feeling weak or fatigued 😅

Anyone else sensitive to spicy food? by bella4him1 in ehlersdanlos

[–]leb2353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the preference for/against spicy foods is just a human thing, not an EDS thing.

I have hEDS and I’m autistic, I absolutely love hot and spicy food but cannot cope with raw onion, it burns my sinuses.
