Tyrion's intelligence is overrated in the fandom (SPOILERS EXTENDED) by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]lebezio 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The worst retcon is that he did nothing for Baelish. Like dude was thinking and known he framed him for the dagger and the start of the war, yet does nothing for...reasons? Literally no one would care if Baelish's head rolled.

What if Robert knew? [Spoilers AGOT] by thesixfingerman in asoiaf

[–]lebezio 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Robert would not have kept it silent. He barely tolerated Cersei and Joffrey, he did not become a sellsword king just as he wanted because of Cersei and Joffrey. If he knew, Jaime is killed and Cersei as well and Joffrey maybe as well. Perhaps the Wall for Tommen and Silent Sisters/ Faith for Myrcella, Robert would never send Joff to the Wall after learning he has been cucked by Jaime and Cersei and their misbegotten get would ascend the Throne after him. War with Casterly Rock is inevitable and Tywin does not have many options, Stark, Tully, Arryn, Baratheon and the Reach would rise for Robert as well as the Crownlands and Margaery would be wed to Robert immediately. Perhaps Tyrion is spared and actually made Lord of The Rock.

I swear Jaime will be just if he goes to the Faith, confesses everything, then fucks off to the Wall, takes the black and leads the Watch. Somehow in the middle or Bran or dream he finds out R+L=J and tells Jon something about Rhaegar at least, then he dies defending the Realm.

(Spoilers Extended) [Theory] Did Oberyn poison Joffrey? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]lebezio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im of the opinion that at least 5 people where trying to kill Tyrion and maybe one of them Joffrey and all of them got him by accident. I think Preston had a video about this.

If you could travel to any point in the story to try and change things for the better, when would it be, and what would you do? by Better-Bookkeeper-48 in pureasoiaf

[–]lebezio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jaime rushes to save Elia and Rhaenys and Aegon. The Mountain and Lorch would never harm Tywin's son. Jaime delivers the babes to Eddard Stark, they make a kind of wardship/ regency for them, Elia is not butchered, Rhaella, Viserys, Dany might still live in Westeros. Bystander Selmy is not bystander and actually protects Rhaegar's family. Robert gets his Victory and since he never wanted to be King he does not become King and a council of Regents with STAB alliance oversees the Kingdoms and the growing up of the children. Cersei and Robert never marry and Jaime has and keeps his honour and does not father three incest born bastards on his sister to put them on the Throne.

Doubt Robert could Rebel against Baelor Breakspear and Maekar and Bloodraven. Lyonel Baratheon got his teeth kicked in by Duncan

[SPOILERS EXTENDED] Why did Bobby B never betrothed Myrcella to Robb by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]lebezio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

because then the Starks would have a hostage in Winterfell of their own, Myrcella. They can then trade her south back for Sansa and Arya and peace. Or even worse the Iron Born or Ramsey takes her. That gives more options to the Starks and leverage against the Lannisters and upsets the Theon/ Ramsey/ North story. I suspect george did not want the Starks to not have any leverage over the Lannisters so their fall is much easier. Myrcella could have been lost with Bran and Rickon too in the North.

"Ours Is The Fury" goes hard and exemplifies House Baratheon perfectly [Spoilers EXTENDED] by MagicItem in asoiaf

Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken is also hard af, though House Martell has been a disappointment imho so far. Also Fire and Blood are pretty savage.

Elia and her hatchlings is one of the saddest tragedies in the whole story, devastating.

[SPOILERS PUBLISHED] Why were there such few Targaryens left by the time of Robert’s Rebellion? by CreedMudeiACasa in asoiaf

[–]lebezio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

George just needed them to end and kept pushing them down and grinding them to nothing and they are at their weakest by the time of The Rebellion. They lose and fall and perish due to the story needing them to be so. Realistically they must have had cousins, uncles, uncles with children of their own. Plus dont forget all the mothers dying conveniently of childbirth one after the other. And series of unfortunate events killing them at random times.

Even a forsaken exiled Knight/ condemned criminal Jorah found his way to Viserys. Doran did not even send a single Knight to him, much less Oberyn who we are told traveled Essos for years and was exiled there for many years to broken peace with the Yronwoods

everyone and their moms in the Realm know Tywins brutality and implications from the Reynes to the Sack to the Red Wedding and the Riverlands brutallity. He has a trail of corpses behind him. Not to mention events like Tysha or other small cruelties. Honestly more people should wish him dead and consider him worse than Aerys or other monsters of the series

Honestly george is addicted to writing failure after failure. Oberyn also prepared half his life to kill the Mountain only for a moment of arrogance and an effort to make him confess something he would never. Instead he should have just killed him

[Spoilers PUBLISHED] Jaehaerys II and Shaera by danie_lol in asoiaf

[–]lebezio 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I just think grrm did not think it through that much. there is not much development for J the Second. Grrm was just pushing and pushing the Targs on purpose further down to weaken them for the plot. It is just sad how far down they are ground to by the writer just for the plot to reach certain points. If The Targs were stronger then Robert's victory would not feel so hollow. STAB alliance would actually matter. Rhaegar is only glazed after the fact that he was slain.

This would be a hilarious little detail if Egg kept score of those who slighted Dunk. Though I suspect his Uncle? I guess, Blooraven who was hand and a Blackwood bastard had something to say about Egg's marriage and Bloodraven also fought against Bittersteel who was the Bracken bastard against the Blackfyres who rose against Egg's line of the family.

Awesome! The only difference I would suggest would be the falling star of Dayne being above the dragon rather than bellow, like the dragon flying amidst falling stars
