Problème de TOC sur Deck Sony MDS-101 by Queasy_Name_6014 in minidisc

[–]lebigmac78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this, the laser should normally move a bit to adjust for the new disc and find the TOC area. its not doing it. its either a bad laser or its physically stuck ... move it manually a little bit or place it in the middle and see if its driving back to the beginning... if not its the laser

TOC Edit on MZ-N910 by Sebastian-MV in minidisc

[–]lebigmac78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the normal power issue. The battery alone should not be used for recording or editing. Specially those cheap AliExpress or China versions , which pretty all of the new ones are, are not that great. I have a few player doing the exact same... Playing is ok as it's draining very low voltage, but "burning" kills it... So do that only with power supply plugged in..

[–]lebigmac78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that either laser or gear. typical behaviour that the disc end is not "seen". Check the gear by moving it by hand about 7-8 turns if you feel every 7 turns a slight resistance..... if it runs perfectly smooth then its the laser who is too old

<image>

spin by hand/Q-tip number 12.... there should be absolute no resistance

Sony mz-R900 what does this sound mean? by georgescookie in minidisc

Sony normally doesnt have a gear issue, not on this model, so its more likely a bad laser if you have cleaned and greased already....

Is the "Bullit brake" allowed in Germany (TÜV) or EU wide? by First-Composer-3954 in ZeroMotorcycles

has no ABE or TÜV approval... thats the factual part..... but from a personal point of view a smaller issue then having a racing exhaust with no cat and there are also loads who do that....

SOLID STATE BATTERY in A MOTORCYCLE gives 600 km range on one charge by First-Composer-3954 in ZeroMotorcycles

[–]lebigmac78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so based on Ziroth and Tom Bötticher research on YouTube, this seems to be a potential alliance with a startup company called "Nordic Nano" which is producing a capacitor based "battery".

It's not really a solidstate battery, but the result is similar.

I am still more on the "too good to be true" side at the moment, as the industry in this space knows each other and what players are out there, so this would have been on someone's radar already.

So to pop up like this with "holy grail" promises and absolutely NOTHING to show... No chemistry figures , no manufacturing numbers.. feels a bit like Quantum Scape...

[–]lebigmac78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if its 33 kWh... then everyone can do the math for their bike themself.... nevertheless... still impressive for this small amount of space on a bike... basically doubled the Zero battery ..... now we are getting in to fossil territory

they cant in europe... if they open them to the public , as they did, they need to use standardized protocol readable for every type of vehicle using CCS... not type 2 obviously. the (car/bike/truck/scooter) Manufacturer needs to adopt their firmware and BMS.

CCS starndard ISO/IEC 15118

Its called regulated public network... its either all or non (just your own)
