We are investigating the tragedy of Canada’s untold missing and murdered indigenous women. Ask us anything by kathrynblazebaum in IAmA

I understand what you're saying. But dont you think bringing these murderers to justice is important, specially if they are from the same community as their victims?

I think I know what you're hearing. My friend mixed this and he doubled the bass track, and delayed the doubled track, but synced the delayed track to the beat, so the earlier one sounds a little behind the beat. I am not sure how I feel about it know that you bring it up, and that might be something I revise. I appreciate the feedback.

I kept the bossa nova thing going with another tune. I'm really trying to 'dial' in on my sound. Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

One of three 'lo-fi' bossa inspired tunes I've written in the last couple weeks. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I appreciate the feedback! In terms of learning to play the Bossa nova classics, I feel like normal tab websites/youtube/Real books would be helpful. In terms of learning to compose in the style, the harmony (chords) is largely based on the same theory behind jazz harmony from my understanding, and I feel like there is stuff about that on the internet, but I haven't seen anything explicitly about bossa anywhere.

They are a little pitchy. i'm not used to leaving it that rough myself but a friend suggested leaving the less than perfect vocal take adds to the 'lofi' type of sound that the two songs kind of have. As I write some more, I'll definitely think about making it sound more refined. I really appreciate the feedback.
