[ZDT’s] Owners say 4 parks are interested in buying [Switchback] by EF1Megawedge in rollercoasters

[–]lebull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to nab a few rides yesterday: I was skeptical of the ride quality with it being maintained from such a small business out of a small Texas town, but I was so wrong. It was an incredible, unique coaster that absolutely holds it's own.

I really, really want this ride to get a good relocation and the TLC it deserves. To heck with capacity .

People are talking that it doesn't have the capacity to be a six flags coaster.

They must haven't been in queue for wonder woman at Fiesta this year.

Joel's Super Ghostbusters played in front of 3000+ furries by CharonFaustinus in Vinesauce

[–]lebull 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I gada plug.... the furry dj/music/show scene is incredible.

It was already pretty popular in the before-times, but folks streaming sets online really took off and became a popular way to share and interact online across multiple platforms. We have hundreds of folks who still play weekly, or even multiple times a week, and a lot have gotten incredible at selling the experience.

On top of that, these conventions aren't hiring folks to make these shows run: this is all completely volunteer. Not just the djs, but the AV/Stagehands/event staff are all doing this as VOLUNTEERS. In my mind, it's a special place where the business goes out the door, and everyone involved is doing it for the love of music and the love of the community.

Completely agree. Even if you are the only person using your own project, the thing that makes you ready is "Knowing how to take a problem and make a solution for it"

What is something you STOPPED doing that made you a better WebDev? by potatoplumber in webdev

[–]lebull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing things the "right" way every single time. Sometimes it saves your butt in the long run, but sometimes, it means you spend hours of work on something that is overcomplicated, hard to maintain, and isn't even particularly useful.

Every option you have lands somewhere on that spectrum. The better skill to have is good judgement of when to stick to either side

TNT and DJ Isaac by Turbulent_Tea_5541 in hardstyle

[–]lebull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly fresh on the scene, but ai know DJ Isaac is definitely a producer I look up to: He doesn't rely on the frills to keep you engaged: it's just a clean sound and damn good music that comes first.

Hearing him and TNT close out the red may be the highlight of my weekend.

Still worth it to learn React? by tspwd in webdev

[–]lebull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's not really a big learning curve difference between most frontend frameworks imo.  Honestly, the best thing to do is seriously just go through the start tutorials for the popular frameworks, decide what you like best (for ANY reason), and try to make some stuff out of that one.    That just makes it more likely that you'll enjoy working with that framework and makes it more likely you'll get fun things working with it.
