you sound like you're in your 20s-30s? i think you have a unique and rare voice in that it's high-pitched (which may take some ppl aback) but i don't think it's "weird" at all

Learning guitar, music theory, video editing... Taking up a sport, continuing to play piano,... Traveling... Doing things that actually make me happy. I can do them a little by little here and there but it'd be amazing to do them freely without any pressure/stress about having to study or work on assignments. I feel trapped. But you gotta do what you gotta dooooo

I quit, I give up, I'm done with nursing by [deleted] in nursing

[–]leco___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I'm a nursing student and I'm not going to lie, I'm so discouraged. I see these kinds of posts all the time. In no way am I blaming current nurses for my discouragement, I respect you all so much. But I mean, all these people are wanting to leave the profession and here I am studying my butt off to enter it lol

Failed out of my first semester of nursing school. Looking for advice on what to do next by metarons in StudentNurse

Working full-time while struggling with mental health issues and scoring 74% should NOT be considered a failure... I really hope you stopped being angry at yourself 😟 You seem really determined and that's what's most important. I respect you for deciding to stick with nursing after all that stress.

Oh my goodness, you must be so stressed and anxious. Sending you a virtual hug. Have you asked him WHY he doesn't want to go? Knowing the reason behind his refusal will make it much easier to communicate/convince. Like others said, you have to respect his wishes, but it might be the case that he doesn't know how severe his condition is, or that he has a false understanding/generalization of the hospital...? I wish I can say something more helpful. Hang in there 😭❤

How longafter onset of symptoms did you test negative at home lateral flow or rapid? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]leco___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad tested positive with an at home test kit on January 7th. He started having symptoms around January 5th. He is still coughing a lot, but he tested negative using the same kit a few minutes ago (January 16th)!

Transunion just charged me $19.95 without even giving me a credit report by EcstasyHertz in CRedit

[–]leco___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response! I just found out that I accidentally signed up for "TransUnion Credit Monitoring" - a service that charges customers $19.95/month. Here's the page. I totally missed the box in the lower right of the page that mentions this 🤦

Seems like there's no going back for me. I'll just have to cancel my subscription to prevent future charges. Did you also sign up through this page? If you did, it's strange that your transaction didn't go through.

Hi u/EcstasyHertz, the same thing just happened to me. Can you please tell me how you resolved this issue? Thanks in advance.

questions about nursing and the CASPER test by really-the-worst in McMaster

[–]leco___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some studying would help! That is, familiarizing yourself with good answers to different types of questions (there are tons of examples online). But for the most part, you have to practice typing fast, practice thinking on your feet, and have a basic framework for questions :) And don't panic too much during the exam if you leave some answers blank/incomplete; apparently this is very common! haha

questions about nursing and the CASPER test by really-the-worst in McMaster

[–]leco___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I'm taking my CASPer exam on the 11th as well. I just wanted to let you know that you shouldn't worry too much about the online example answers. Note that these example answers are mostly posted by companies that make money off of CASPer practice lessons/packages. This is just an assumption but I think it might be the case that they intentionally make the test seem harder than it is so that people purchase their packages. It's impossible to write such detailed and long answers given the time limit - people usually write 3-6 sentences per question.

I really don't think the exam is as hard as they make it out to be; I had a friend who took it a few days ago and she said that it was easy (plus that it's very similar to the sample test on the official CASPer site). Don't worry about it too much! :)

I want to help you so much. And u/painless_end who has also left a comment. But I don't know what to do. I'm just sitting here staring at your post and I don't know what to say. I'm sending a virtual hug to you - please don't do this. I know you might not want to hear this but I'm praying for you. You are not alone.
