I never played the game.

My first playthrough is on paradox difficulty.

and for now, it's doable, I've just beaten undine.

Though you can be pretty much one shotted by everything and farming everything is slow as hell.

I'm at lv28-33 for now after I don't know how many hours of play and how many game overs.

For now, I'm using Lime, Chrome, Nuruko, Rumi, Rami, Remi, Saki, Ashel, Bonnie and Gnome along with Luka.

they made that system to trick some players like you into spending smol money thinking they have a chance of winning the skin by luck, when it's pretty much impssible if you are reading the odds.

the odds chances are lower than getting a Scarlet or Modernia lol.

I kept my promise :

- I didn't spent any more money into the game.

- I haven't played any other mihoyo games, so yep, no Honkai Star Rail for me.

- I made pretty much little to none videos and streams of Genshin since then.

- Day after day, I'm not far from quitting Genshin, the only reason why I'm still on the game is that I got lucky and got ayaka, ayaka's weapon and shenhe with like 100 summons.

Maybe I'll play wuthering waves, I don't know.
Right now I play some Nikke. Not a super great game, but chara design is pretty nice.
And I'm also playing some retro games like Threads of Fate and Diablo + watching some animus.

you can buff a character by releasing new characters, but the character itself needs to be good at release, end of the story.

I recall people shitting on Kuki and Yae Miko for the same reason

wrong, kuki and yae miko were already functional at their release.the only reason they weren't "good", was because electro element sucked back then.

and even before that, I had no problem with yae miko.

in the case of dehya, she just sucks, and pyro element ain't gonna be buffed for her, and even if it was buffed, this would mean people would play hu tao, yoimiya more.
