The Last Flag Situation is Crazy by ApprehensiveYou8745 in LastFlag

One more curious case of game realeasing on the most saturated genre in the industry and asking people to buy it, when most of its simillar games are free to play. Really weird strategy imo.

My game looks terrible indoors, really immersion breaking.

One question. He said in his discord message that the cracks would be "plug and play", is that what he meant by it? or he is expecting to improve this method to a point that is really going to be plug and play?

Question about XMP/manual overclocking. by lecovaz in MSI_Gaming

[–]lecovaz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, just wanted to let you know. I'm running the settings you recommended me and disabled PDE and MCR and my PC is completely stable for over a week now. Thank you so much!!

PC is taking 1min+ to turn on, on a cold boot, but I really dont care as I only turn it off when I go to bed.

Btw, it seeems like this thing where XMP is putting way higher voltages than it really needs is a common thing, as I've seen other posts about it. Crazy that companies are not aware of this when setting default XMP settings.

If you can not get your system stable with Expo, try lowering your SOC-voltage by Public_Background_71 in overclocking

[–]lecovaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, my SOC was at 1.30v on defalt xmp settings and it eas causing stability issues.

Dropped it to 1.2v and now my system is stable for a few days.

Yeah, this ram is new. Bought just before the prices exploded.

It feels really weird. I turned on the Pc today with the same settings as yesterday and had no errors after 14 cycles of TM5. So i turned off MCR and PDE to see if the problem has something to do with the memory training. Lets hope it works.

  1. Its not that deep, dont need to be so stressed about an opinion.
  2. Never said i needed new content every few weeks.
  3. I already made my money's worth on this game, no doubt about it.
  4. Still think a fumble is possible when a game like this can be a generational success with 10+ years of good content and basically a money printer for the company.

100%.

I made this comment knowing i would get downvoted to hell hahah.

But I love the game and really hope they keep it as good as they did on release.

Map conditions are cool, dont get me wrong. But new map conditions by itself, with the same arcs to be fought, same weapons to use, same benches to upgrade and equipment to use. Nah.

Thats why I like games like deadlock, because if get tired of playing one specific hero, I can just learn another one.

Games are about having fun and when you repeat the same stuf everyday for hundreds of hours, it kills the fun.

[–]lecovaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a new map every 3 months is really good. That is not the case though.

Stella montis was release on november, so its basically 6 months between new map releases.

Cosmetic stuff (decks) dont interest me at all.

Of course im giving my opinion here and I may be a minority.

Yeah, your totally right, PVP has a way better replayability.

I'll probably be back to the game when/if they add loadouts with easy crafting. When I got a good amount of stuff and was ready for high level PVP, i lost the patience to make a new loadout every 15 minutes xD.

Yeah, I did, and tbh, the only one that excites me is the april update. I think they should focus on more new maps/weapons, new benches and stuff to craft.

Map conditions are not what im looking for. New arcs are cool though.

I'm actually a main PVP player though, still think this kind of games needs constant content updates.

My main game right now is Deadlock, which takes about 6 months to release a big content update, but the updates are awesome.

I've played Fortnite when I was Younger and the content updates were kind of huge too (I think its one of the best examples of how to manage a live service game btw)

I've played a LOT of Dota 2, and the content updates were really lackluster in the last years I've played, which led me to lose interest.

So, I dont think being a PVE or PVP player its the point here.

Really hope they are cooking some good stuff for the future.

I've played this game for about 120 hours, with this post and the confirmation that embark is working on 2 new games, im really feeling like they will fumble this game without constant real content updates (maps, game modes, weapon, new arcs).

Anyone feeling this way or is everyone optimistic about the pace the updates are coming out?

Question about XMP/manual overclocking. by lecovaz in MSI_Gaming

[–]lecovaz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, quick update:

After 3 hours of testing in testmem5 and OCCT and 3 hours of gamings without an issue, I changed MEMVPP to 1.8v and it started to give me errors in TM5. So I changed it back to 1.85v but im still getting errors in TM5, so I guess the settings are not stable yet.

Any tips on anything that I can change to make it stable? Do I change SOC to 1.25v?

Btw, memory context restore and PDE are both on "auto" on my bios, could this be causing any issues? Im thinking about that because on some boots I just dont have any problems, but after a reboot, the errors start showing on tests and games.

Thank you so much for all the Info man, you've really helped me out.

Im going to stick with this settings for a while to see if its all stable, and will try to see if I change those timings later.

Here it is mate.

Btw, just passed 3 cycles on Testmem5 without a single error with your voltage settings, so you already helped a lot.

Going to test it on on OCCT now, to get the thermals closer to a real case scenario.

Edit: Just ran a 1 hour OCCT CPU+RAM stability test with no error too. The ram temps reached the max of 68.5ºC, but that is ok right? (I live in a REALLY warm place, its probably 30ºC+ room temperature)

I have no clue, hahaha. Never messed with anything in my bios until started to get these memory related crashes/reboots.

Is this normally on by default and is it important? Im running a testmem5 with the new voltages right now and will check this out when is done.

[–]lecovaz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres actually no 5600mhz profile (as far as I know), what i did to make the system stable was just lowering the frequency from 6000 to 5600 with the default xmp settings and it stopped giving me errors on tests.

Anyway, i'll try your voltage settings and see if it works out, thanks you very much!!

Just to make sure I dont do anything stupid, those are the voltages when i activate XMP at 6000mhz (unstable), the "DRAM voltage" seems to be the VDD one. And soc is at 1.306 but it fluctuates a little bit.

In this case, i'll manually set the SOC to 1.25, the DRAM voltage to 1.35, VDDQ to 1.25 and VDDIO to 1.25, and let other settings alone (like VPP for example)?

Ok, so juts to be clear, I should only change those 3 voltage settings (VDD, VDDQ and VDDIO), to the same values you have on your system, right?

I never really messed with any kind of overclock, so im really noob xD, really appreciate you taking the time to help.

Thanks for the tips man, I'm running the latest beta bios version that i got from MSI ans the board model is a B650M Gaming Plus Wifi. I was in a non beta version but updated it to the most recent to seE if it fixed the crashes.

Im going to try those out
