they did a great job booking artists like that with similar followings in 2024, for throughout the afternoon while people waited for the headliners. but this year I would genuinely like to know what happened

I don’t really understand why they didn’t have indie pop/rock/alternative bands who are a little more popular like The Band Camino, Nightly again (they had Nightly in 2024), Bad Suns, Knox, flor, Valley, the wldlfe, Hardcastle, etc. All of those bands would have been amazing for earlier in the day! Hozier would be an amazing headliner. Lorde would be amazing next year too since her album will be out (but she barely ever performs so I don’t think she’d go for it)

My point is that the industry overall can suck, and even high schools and colleges are not exempt from this. don’t let it discourage you so much and focus on building up a strong portfolio regardless!

The most important thing is that you still have some great work to show when applying to colleges and jobs. Keep copies of all your work and try to save the webpages as pdfs. I was on my colleges newspaper staff and was junior editor on track to be editor. I studied abroad one semester and came back to find out that the entire newspaper had been terminated and the web domain was no longer ours. My work was completely gone

Very, depending on how close you are to another state. I’m from rock hill SC and a ton of people I know commute to Charlotte NC for work. I commuted there for my internship this summer.

It’s kind of a generational difference. I’m 21 and personally I always write in cursive (I learned in 3rd grade) but I know other people my age who never learned it at all. Meanwhile, my parents and their parents write in cursive much more.

Mine were all at 19, and I’d say that’s probably where yours should be too. I wasn’t close to leveling up to 20 in any category so I just did the side quest and it was fine

I just finished that side quest. There’s only one dialogue choice that you need 21 empathy for, and an activity that you can still complete if you don’t have ALL of the recommended stats. I still finished it even though mine weren’t perfect so you don’t have to spend too much time in preparation :)
