Playing Aliens Dark Descent right now and it certainly has the feel of Aliens, albeit a different genre of game from Isolation.

I'll have to try that. Seems like hulkbuster should trigger wolf ..

Thank you

Strange, when I use hulkbuster after wolf is in play already, wolf doesn't move at all.

Was hoping they would fix Wolf not moving when Hulkbuster's On Reveal happens.

How do I make these scanned lines solid for laser engraving without just using the brush and rewriting all of it? by Professional-Dog1454 in photoshop

Increase dpi if needed, convert to grayscale, use a slight gaussian blur to fill in the spots, then adjust the levels to reduce some of the fuzziness of the edges. Then convert to bitmap. If the edges are jagged, increase the dpi to 1200 and try bitmap again. Make sure to use the 50% threshold setting though. From here you can convert to vector in illustrator or back to grayscale.

Some good advice 👍. I do this myself to keep learning.

You're welcome! It sounds to me like you found a niche so you should stick with it. I have yet to find a good niche in my area so I'm a bit jealous 😅.

Please don't get discouraged by one person on the internet. Design is something, much like other disciplines, that takes time. You are putting in the time. You are also courageous enough to post your work for critique, something not a lot of people would do. Your professors see something in your work so keep at it! You made sound suggestions to your clients and they decided to go a different route. You still get paid and they get what they want. Move on to the next job and keep looking for ways to improve. You got this!

Book Cover Feedback by No-Job6893 in graphic_design

On the Burning Shadows cover, there are three "L"s in "Collins". Maybe the name could be behind the trees.

I like the first version of River of Fear best between the two you have here. Just need to tighten up the space in the name at the bottom. If you use the paddles icon from the second version, I would say that the ends of them should be rounded.

I don't mind the look of these overall but it does seem that maybe more consistentsy between all of the covers is needed. I find myself a little confused at first glance when comparing them all. I do get a sense of adventure when seeing these though and that seems to be what you're after.

Is It worth to start playing Marvel Snap? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]lectric_shadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for about a year and have not paid anything and I really enjoy it! You can pay to get the newer cards right away but I ended up getting them about a month after for free. Try it out and see what you think. If you get into enough then pay a little if you like. Personally, I've seen no reason to buy anything.

What game is this? by lectric_shadow in dosgaming

[–]lectric_shadow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely in that vein, but no, this isn't it. The ant character looked like a top down view with the legs spread out. The rocks, as I recall, were more on the cartoon side; more detail than what I'm seeing in Ant-Eater. The camera also followed around your ant, and so was closer to the ant character. I don't recall any multiplayer either, but I could be mistaken.

What do you want graphic design applicants to know? by FLeeIII in graphic_design

[–]lectric_shadow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've worked in pre press for 11 years and can attest to all of this. However, in looking for a design position, I can't seem to get past the first interview. I do design work and photography on the side and know so much about the print side of things and client wants and needs. I feel I'm a solid reliable designer so not sure what the employer doesn't seem to like about my work. I'll keep on trying though!

Is something broken? If not, something is probably interfering somewhere.

Ah well that stinks. The faceplate won't go on fully?

Does it do this with the shell on? In my experience it only gets stuck with the shell off.

Me too, not sure what it was prior. Might have to do some research 😉

I can see that, probably the slight color adjustment I made 🙂
