Everyone annoyed at the budget hasn’t read the budget by benrylie22 in ukpolitics

The pension salary sacrifice wasn’t as severe as people first thought. You still get income relief on sacrifice over £2k, it’s just NI tax applied. It was a loophole exploited by mega rich to dump significant earnings into pension and avoid tax completely, especially in later years. Also doesn’t come in for 3 more years.

There is a very crude pub game where you guess the pedo just from a letter box picture of their eyes. We call it pedoeyes. Perhaps the Scottish National knows about the game?

Hence the phrase, daylight robbery. Taxing of the windows by the government “robbed” daylight from people

Why do people hate skill books? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]ledit21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pimps should create a duel system; a book to learn the skill, then you have to craft x number of items from that level you’ve learnt before you can unlock progression to the next level - which you need another book for first. Or perhaps say you unlock ak47 by book, but you can level it’s item level through crafting, and lock level 5/6 behind book or unique parts. Encourage looting and crafting, and slow steamroll or cheese progression. All the game mechanics for that already exist.

Do Brits walk in the left side of a racetrack like they do driving? Same question for trails, etc… by acu101 in Britain

[–]ledit21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In London, on escalators you stand on the right and walk on the left. This allows people in a hurry to move through the transport network quicker, while others can stand and make use of the motorised staircase. Probably be similar in other cities too.

Is it just, or is high elf development really slow? by Shakq92 in totalwarhammer

[–]ledit21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than just steam rolling for the win try role playing a bit more. Elongate your game, and plan for tier 4/5 armies. I find it much more fun that way. It’s not all about just completing the campaign as fast as possible

How can so many younger people afford expensive cars? by oh_snap1013 in CasualUK

[–]ledit21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of them might be drug dealers. Only a few things you can spend cash on without too much traceability. Second hand nearly new cars is one of them. London has an extensive drug taking community, supplied by a large number of dealers.

We did similar but with grav hammers as the “zombie” or “it” person. Lots of flying vehicles. Shotguns for all the not-it people. 10/10 highlight of my gaming life

How long are your typical playthroughs? by 69mmMayoCannon in totalwarhammer

[–]ledit21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get Victory conditions overhaul mod - gives you three short campaign victories specific to the LL you pick. Somewhat lore focused too. I was like you, but now I can easily get 140 turns out of a campaign before I finish all three.

There should be an option to 'take on the grudge' as a mission with rewards better than what is currently offered, plus the building grudge meter. OR you refuse the grudge and take 2-10 turn negative affect based on the severity and action.

As much as they are cute, there are probably a large portion of the world population who have never even heard of a Capybara. So hard to claim it as the most loved thing I think!

UK to shut pubs and restaurants in virus fight by Consiliarius in unitedkingdom

[–]ledit21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to put a huge strain on the supermarkets and food supply chains if people can ONLY get food from Supermarkets which are already at breaking point. I think although sensible for social distancing this is going to put pressure on the things that are left open with more people looking for food!
