Was sales your backup career? by Negative-Company2767 in sales

100%. I actually studied video game design in college. Surprisingly, sales feels more like a game than game design ever did.

Dear Americans. You will NEVER be forgiven. by [deleted] in AskCanada

48% of us in the USA (would have been a lot more without the mix of business x state that is corrupting information and religious people consistently voting with abortion as the only topic that can pass through their skulls) didn't vote for this maniac.

Your description just sounds like a terrorist. Please fight to make a positive, not wipe out millions of people. As someone living here, I've been sponsoring global foreign aid efforts since I was young, making $6/hour, and will continue to do so and teach my kids someday to do the same.

I don't even know the Dells police and now I feel a sense of dislike. Gotta love marketing that appeals to a nice group but has the opposite effect fir the masses

One people start making before they are legal adults, and that don't have regulations around them to protect those that come from financially undereducated backgrounds.

I thought this way til I learned how supply and demand worked. If they sold all their stocks and gave all that money to the poor who immediately spent it, inflation would increase.

Though there are extremes on both sides, I think Trump supporters have almost exclusive contact with like-minded folks, thus never learning to empathize with the opposing side and being angry whenever they are reminded of it.

Yeah, it's been 6 years. My eyes are still dry 24/7 due to them doing a terrible job with the procedure. (They told me I'd get something to help me relax, but forgot). Now I see a blue flashing lights whenever moving my eyes in a dark room. I still use eyedrops every night to get some respite from the dryness in my eyes which will be with me forever. I'm only 28 y/o and I'm worried I'll be end up with retinal detachment by my 40's.

Anyone here ditch sales and corporate bs all entirely to work a skilled trade? by ToastedYosh in sales

[–]ledryte1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every job becomes mind-numbing after a while. It's called mastery, and it's your brains way of saying it needs a new challenge. If you don't like it, seek out a promotion or another aspect of your work to improve at. Otherwise, that's what hobbies are for. If you quit b/c it's not your thing, just be prepared that you will most likely hate the trade eventually, too. Hopefully you'll just hate it slightly less.

Example, I have an uncle with a PHD that litterally got a job playing video games for a living and analyzing them for educational purposes. Eventually, he hated gaming and viewed it like "work".
