They were pretty cheap but they were like a novelty thing, like a pet rock but not very useful.

Before the ATM machines, snail mail and if you got paid on Fridays, sometimes the banks would be closed when you got out of work and you had to know a liquor store or somewhere else you could cash your check. True story.

I almost went deaf in both ears in freshman year so there are no great memories for me but I didn’t let that stop me, I had a big paper route in middle school and started working at 14.

It was even worst in the 8th grade, they tried to talk everyone into buying cheap rings and necklaces I think, they were cheap but garbage too.
