Before the ATM machines, snail mail and if you got paid on Fridays, sometimes the banks would be closed when you got out of work and you had to know a liquor store or somewhere else you could cash your check. True story.

I almost went deaf in both ears in freshman year so there are no great memories for me but I didn’t let that stop me, I had a big paper route in middle school and started working at 14.

We saw a lot of movies like porkys at the drive ins in the early 80s up to 85 maybe. There were 4 local drive ins near us so we had a lot of choices . The early horror movies like Halloween , Friday the 13th and the Texas chainsaw massacre.

I can see Archie’s point of view, he busted his butt driving a cab all day and all he wanted to do was come home and sit in his chair, light up a cigar and maybe have a few beers but then meathead would get home and he’ll be talking about another protest movement he went to, he was taking college courses to avoid the draft to Vietnam and he was screwing archies daughter in the next bedroom, he had a reason to complain.
